Of course I want Pope to work. He is the coach at UK. If he is not more successful in the near future he will be gone and I won't be whining about that fact if that is how it goes down. He has only been here two seasons and has dealt with difficult circumstances so far and has still clearly done a better job than BCG did in his two seasons. BCG most likely would have gotten more time to prove himself if not for his shameful extracurriculars. Saying Pope has come up short of what we expect here is not the same as saying he sucks.

I did not say "your" goalpost. I said "the" goalpost which had been established in the debate you chimed in on. I have explained this to you multiple times and in different ways to help you understand. I will not bother trying to explain it to you any further so have fun with whatever similar repetitive response I'm sure is coming.
Sounds more like your goal post moved but to
each their own. I don’t know a single UK fan that hopes Pope fails. I personally think he doesn’t deserve a 3rd year but he is getting one so I’ll hope he succeeds but I won’t ignore the 3am fire. Having said that, I still think him and BGC both stunk it up pretty bad here, aka suck.

And you are still wrong. Even if you ignore injuries he has still has performed OK based on the Sports-reference.com SRS rating (performance vs scheduled played). He has averaged 20.19 for his two seasons. In the 25 years previous to his arrival we were below that number 15 times while exceeding it 10 times. So while he has not set the world on fire he has not actually "sucked" even by semi-recent UK standards. BCG averaged 10.94 by this metric which is obviously not even close. The Pope vs BCG comparison was the original debate that you moved the goalpost away from in the first place.

"I don’t know a single UK fan that hopes Pope fails."

You've got to kidding with this one. Have you not read this board over the past few months?

Muurinen and Stokes on Monday! Let’s see if Pope can finally get wood on the ball.
Stokes & Momcilovik for me. That truly pie in the sky wish that ain't gonna get fulfilled was what I wanted from the first moment I thought of it.

Back up the brinks truck to the bank, get everyone on board here, make a dual press conference letting them choose a big blue mist enshrouded pair of sunglasses with UK logos on them.... then let the world despair.

So I'm cool with Muurinenn gone now. That was more likely, but of course, not gonna happen.

we gonna be alright I think, just need to remain a little more patient.

Tyran would be a good point forward in Pope's offense. He has an excellent passing ability and good size.

I think that we’ve gotten to the point that UK about has to land this kid if we want to be good this season. If he picks Kansas, I just don’t know how the coaching staff can recover from that. I’ll watch every game and cheer them on no matter what happens, but I’ll definitely not have very high expectations for the season. I hate saying that but I’m just being honest.

Guess we will just wait till July or august to find out if we have a chance then.

Hamburger Tuesday friends. Is it raining in Jersey?

No its not.

Damn. Possibly commitment date is Wednesday maybe Thursday but guaranteed not a Friday. Look for Saturday or Sunday. But I wouldn't be surprised with the Monday or a Tuesday next week.

Or maybe a commitment today because I did eat a hamburger and it'll be raining in Jersey by Wednesday.
But the hamburgers was from Rally's and if you want to get the number one player you really need to eat a McDonald's hamburger. So.... I'm cautious about my predictions.

Honestly my most clear crystal ball prediction will come after I use the bathroom. Not saying I don't believe in my connections that are telling me the commitment day is coming but I like to take a look at the evidence myself first hand.

Kinda nuts to me at this point. Kid is going to be on a campus for 8 months. He's going to make millions no matter where he plays and then millions more the following year. Just freaking pick, man. Starting to feel like he just loves the drama...
