Over the weekend, I put together the rosters for next season on NCAA 2010 for Xbox 360. So far, I’ve made over 30 rosters, including ours, of course.
I focused on stats and abilities to make each player as realistic as possible.
With Stokes on our roster and no other major additions, we’re starting the season ranked #9, but without him, we barely scraped into the top 25 at #25.
With Stokes we might be able to compete with the top teams in the SEC but without him we sit below:
- Florida
- Arkansas
- Texas
- Tennessee
- Alabama (just above us)
My best guess is that, without adding any other notable players, we’ll be battling Alabama and Missouri for fifth place in the SEC next season. It’s also possible both of those teams will exceed expectations thanks to their highly rated recruits, especially Missouri with Crowe and Bryant, of course.
N'Diaye definitely moves the needle in the right direction but doesn't quite put us back at the elite level we're aiming for and Hawthorne remains a true wild card, but in the best possible way.
Back in the real world, rosters are still coming together, and in the next few weeks, we might hear more updates on draft decisions, Euro and reclass fronts. It’s also worth pointing out that many teams ranked between 10 and 25 in these way too early top 25 lists have holes just like we do, Virginia and Louisville come to mind but there are more.
I’ll also work on updating the rosters and adding more teams whenever I have the time.
Man, Stokes looks great in UK Blue, and the team is a blast to play with when he's on the roster. He's a total disruptor who forces the defense to scramble and opens up the game for everyone else on the court.
