Generally FS reviews are way better than folk...but not always. They got right to business on the final review.
Not sure why Lee didn’t get that push out with his legs out. When he got spun around instead to give up 1 and injure his elbow, that was the turning point. Luke looked huge. Can’t believe he makes 125. We better pray he outgrows it over next 2 years.
Now that was a great match to watch. 2nd period was non stop action to the point it was crazy hard to score as a referee…
Paul Kenny gets teched by ISU backup. He has really jumped levels from those “training” sessions in Iowa city

You had THREEE "officials" ( do not know where in all HELL they get these CHARACTERS from-the 99 cent store) taking time out to review the score that THEY had!!!! They change it, it gets challenged. ANNOUNCES have one core, refs another, and after a challenge- still ANOTHER!!!
LUNGer for green was a factor in the match. Walking around with a foam dice, WTF is that!?!?!? Waste more time????? Then you have what must be a F*** st bandWagon DUFUS as a "MatBoy" trying to wipe up the mat with a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle!?!?!? This is the US OPEN!?!?!?

Even if Spencer got a push out point, wouldn’t LL have won on criteria with his last takedown?

No because it would've been 5-0 Spencer, not 4-1 Spencer before the first takedown. Spencer should've got the push out point before he spun around and gave up the point himself.

If he got the step-out it would have been 5-0 instead of 4-1, and the final headlock would have only made it 5-4 Lee. because it would have been stopped with the step-out and Lilledahl wouldn't have gotten that first point. Edit: I guess I typed slower.

It's not a step out unless the head or upper body make contact too, per the rules that have been in place for a while now.
No, because Lilledahl got awarded the push out so it was effectively a 2 point swing. Going into the last sequence instead of it being 4-3 Spencer it would have been 5-2 Spencer, 5-4 post head lock
worst thing about this loss & Spencers potentially serious injury is that I thought Spencers single leg was looking the best it’s looked in awhile against Luke. Dont know why he didn’t put much effort in trying to finish those though, but given the hawkeyes recent struggles in finishing shots it may be a product of that.

The problem is that we're not doing anything to fix the problem. And I don't know what the fix is, but whatever it is, we're not doing it.
