Texas for sure has not actually been done I'm fairly sure. The dems are benefitting way more from the current gerrymandering than Republicans and its not close.

It would have been a wipeout before Texas started the mid-decade gerrymandering and it will still be a wipeout now that this admin has destroyed all the goodwill they had built up with the Hispanic community. All they've done is weaken all of their districts and it wouldn't surprise me if they don't win any of the newly drawn ones because ain't nobody happy.
Texas, NC, and TN all drew their maps to get rid of democratic seats. NC is a 50/50 state but their congressional delegation is 10-3 GOP now. Nashville got split up in districts so it doesn’t have a Dem rep. Texas explicitly did their redistricting to add more GOP reps by disenfranchising black voters. The GOP has been doing this for decades.
Deep blue democrat states are much more gerrymandered than anything republicans are doing. FACT!!!

Yeah, i don't think any of these arguments are laughable by any stretch, and the voting day one is indeed especially intriguing given the pending scotus case on counting mail ballots received after voting day. Interestingly, in the course of that oral argument, there were a lot of questions about things that happen BEFORE the annointed day in November, and what it means to 'perfect' a vote (with a seeming lean toward the state's custody of that vote in some form). That basic logic could be cited to suggest that, indeed, the election began when the early in person votes were cast, which was about a month too early under the state law governing ballot initiatives, (To be clear, the scotus case involved a federal issue and I don't think "should" be controlling on VA law or how it is construed, but if there's a any hook for scotus to get involved, maybe that's it, even if it's citing it as a persuasive construction of when an election begins).

I suspect that a number of Republicans would like to do so as well, but Trump has the final word within the Republican party on both this and any other issue. That will continue until the day that the rats abandon the SS Trump. That would happen at some point before the scheduled end of his term even if he remained wildly popular (it's what happens when the President is in his second term and it's called the "lame duck effect"), but given Trump's continuing stumbles, it may well occur this November, as a consequence of a likely GOP electoral debacle. Imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth if the Republicans lose control of the Senate. ROFL ...
