Zachs Mexican Donuts from SingleSpeed. The women on here that are all about IPAs probably won't like it, but hey, give them their IPAs and the men will stick to the real beers. Not my place to be critical of any of you Nancies sipping on your IPA’s (probably with citrus slices) because Lord knows I’ve made my share of embarrassing mistakes in life. But who has the best Iowa-made stout? A good beer is supposed to have some backbone.

Always try to support!!
Hey Chipack,Probably a flip the coin situation if you’re Iranian leadership.
Sorry to break it to you but Go Pack Go!Hey Chipack,
I know what Chi and Hawk mean (love those), but what's the "pack" portion of your handle indicate?
Please don't tell me it's about those cheddar heads up North or I'll have to report you to our "sweet" friends & neighbors in Bears Nation.![]()
And we were getting along so well . . .Sorry to break it to you but Go Pack Go!
Does Lehigh still wear those white singlets at any time? That right there would have been enough reason to leave.Congrats. I really hope he stays healthy. He's from my backyard and I've been a big fan. Lehigh Valley kids are as tough as they come. Smart kid too.
Yep when his brother is going to Michigan. Bad troll job on that one D-Zepeda was ready made for Iowa. Instead, Michigan grabs him and the Hawks land a broken down Crookham with a long history of concussions.
Am I too cynical if I said he was looking for an offer from Iowa to use as bargaining leverage at Michigan?Zepeda was ready made for Iowa. Instead, Michigan grabs him and the Hawks land a broken down Crookham with a long history of concussions.
Never thought he was coming to Iowa, he isn't. I moved on.Am I too cynical if I said he was looking for an offer from Iowa to use as bargaining leverage at Michigan?
That’s just business.Am I too cynical if I said he was looking for an offer from Iowa to use as bargaining leverage at Michigan?
No. Everyone saw and knew that.Am I too cynical if I said he was looking for an offer from Iowa to use as bargaining leverage at Michigan?
So now the question is do we take Ech or are we done with the portal now and go with Estrada as an undersized 157 again like 2 years ago. He would be better at 149, but obviously Block gets first choice. Just pray VV isn’t our starter next year.No. Everyone saw and knew that.

That was my excuse (ha). I'm guessing most of you guys know that growing up in PA in the 80s, Lehigh was the program that was on TV. And obviously it was a good school for engineering. I wasn't a good student and landed at ESU when Cuvo was there. My HS teammate also wrestled at a D1 PA state school. Back then PSU was after thought but I did end up there too, but not as wrestler. Cuvo was strong as **** thoug
Cuvo would have trouble making weight to wrestle 285. He's pushing 300 lbs. That was my excuse (ha). Hope somebody enters in the portal window that ends soon. Such high risk, but even a return of JW would give a mini glimmer of hope but still rather see a AA type enter the portal. Respect Estrada but not expecting him to AA unless like you say he finds offense.157 is currently a hole for the Hawks. I was really hoping they would get Zepeda or Shapiro. Not sure what the plan will be there, but I'm thinking Block 149/ Estrada 157 is what will happen. I really like ME, but he needs to find some offense and he will be very short for 157, which hasn't been a great combination for Iowa in the past. He has solid defense and will keep matches close, but won't win without takedowns. If Block isn't struggling with 149 leave him there. I think that scores more points than ME at 149 and Block at 157.
Huh? It’s like a 49 pounder cutting 7 pounds. He probably takes dumps that big, Lisa…Cuvo would have trouble making weight to wrestle 285. He's pushing 300 lbs.
He has mental health issues. Long history with the Easton, Pa. police.Huh? It’s like a 49 pounder cutting 7 pounds. He probably takes dumps that big, Lisa…
Lehigh valley rocks.Congrats. I really hope he stays healthy. He's from my backyard and I've been a big fan. Lehigh Valley kids are as tough as they come. Smart kid too.
Is Williams done at Iowa or is it still a possibility? I like him at 157 for his final season, platooning with Estrada, rather have JW that Echemendia.
I wonder if Paddy Galagher or Shubert can make 57 without much of a problem..,could be interesting with them back to back if JW is gone. Or JW at 149 and Block at 57?
Stop with the Block at 157. Makes 0 senseIs Williams done at Iowa or is it still a possibility? I like him at 157 for his final season, platooning with Estrada, rather have JW that Echemendia.

Hoping the brothers don't get along at UM, and Zapeda reconsiders.
Not getting Bassett, Miller and/or Zapeda hurts). But not getting one from the group of Siedel, Davino, Forrest, Vega, Raney, Raney, hurts too but at least the next two classes help there...so does Crookham. But Mendoza, Lemley, Robinson, W Denny, Medlin, Denny, Mendez from just across the border hurts too. Lemley, Robison, W Denny, Jesse Mendez, are all in the same metro area, all have ties to Mount Carmel - think Joe Williams - and are close to Tsirtsis through MC and Regent Club team. Time for Alex, Izzy, Cory Clark, Juergens, Stittmatter to start the train a rollin
You’re hoping for family strife to get a prospect on board? Jfc, that’s cold.Is Williams done at Iowa or is it still a possibility? I like him at 157 for his final season, platooning with Estrada, rather have JW that Echemendia.

Except for the fact if he doesn't move up we're going to have a nearly 6 foot guy with a history of gassing out wrestling 149, and a 5'7" guy with trex arms wrestling 157.Stop with the Block at 157. Makes 0 sense
If he’s not going to move up then he has zero excuse not to gas out during matches next year.Stop with the Block at 157. Makes 0 sense
Rather him gas out at 149 than go 157.Except for the fact if he doesn't move up we're going to have a nearly 6 foot guy with a history of gassing out wrestling 149, and a 5'7" guy with trex arms wrestling 157.
15 is way too high imo but yes 57 is deeper. I don't think that should matter.Rather him gas out at 149 than go 157.
go look how deep 157 is. Bumping up into that is stop. Block would start as the #5 at 149. Maybe #15 at 157
All 8 AA at 157 are returning, plus all the R12 guys who were AA in the past like Cardenas. Who in the top 10 is Block beating? I’d say 149 is his ideal weight.15 is way too high imo but yes 57 is deeper. I don't think that should matter.
I think Estrada has AA potential at 49, same with RB at 57 if he puts on the right kind of weight.
I'd rather have 2 guys at their optimal weights than 2 that aren't.
Hawkeyes slotted a 5’7” dude with T-Rex arms to wrestle at 197 just a few weeks ago, yes?Except for the fact if he doesn't move up we're going to have a nearly 6 foot guy with a history of gassing out wrestling 149, and a 5'7" guy with trex arms wrestling 157.
Some of them will bump up, some will get hurt, some will have bad years etc... I don't think worrying about opponents at a given weight is a great strategy. Lots of tall lean guys wrestle quite a bit higher in college than they did in high school bc they mature and fill out. I don't care that much either way, but on the surface it definitely seems like the logical solution. Which is why I doubt it happensAll 8 AA at 157 are returning, plus all the R12 guys who were AA in the past like Cardenas. Who in the top 10 is Block beating? I’d say 149 is his ideal weight.
he was 138 in high school
Yes, do you think that's a great winning strategy for a program with championship expectations?Hawkeyes slotted a 5’7” dude with T-Rex arms to wrestle at 197 just a few weeks ago, yes?
