I totally agree on the 3 point shooting. Wright was more than solid. She was 8th in the country at 44% while shooting a relatively high volume. Same for Stremlow who shot 41% in conference play as a starter. Carnegie wasn't as good, but she still shot it at 35% for the season at a very high volume. There are no Kylies in this group. I'm also looking forward to seeing if Journey can add the 3 point shot to her game. She did hit a few this year and if that can become a regular part of her repertoire she's going to be outstanding.
I'm not convinced Stremlow beats out Whiting. That could be a fun camp battle.
It's certainly possible at this point that the minutes between all 4 of these players ends up being very close given the lack of depth in place today. Assuming they bring in another couple of guards with the primary focus to fill out depth, the top 4 guards are looking at a lot of minutes in the rotation regardless of who is starting.
Well, if Deal was staying its doubtful we bring them both in. If that was the case then Jan would probably have thrown her cards in on Addie, and we probably don't land one of those ladies.
Interesting that she played the 5 but statistically she looks much more like a 3 or 4. Excellent shooter with range. Wherever she goes she looks like a high level P4 starter assuming she's fully recovered from the ACL that cost her last season. Raegan would give Jan a lot of options on offense. We would have a much better three point shooting team to prevent teams from packing the lane.

I haven’t heard any connection to Iowa. South Carolina, Ohio State, and Minnesota were reportedly her other finalists before choosing Kentucky. She is from Massachusetts. She was a McDonalds All-American, National Top 15 type player, but stats were pretty meager last year.
While I would agree there's only so many Power 5 spots and there are also a lot of bad programs out there. Realistically how many teams are really paying much in NIL for women's bball? The Power 5 leagues, but even then some of those schools can't be offering much. After that besides a scholly what else can these smaller schools offer? Nobody at the games, no real NIL, and no real chance at winning much. Now I see why a girl like Levin heading to UNI, who has been respectable in a decent league and she's an Iowa girl. But there's no way she's getting any real kind of NIL money?

I fully respect hawkbucks sources. They are very very good. However in this one case I do think this information is pretty solid. Having a direct family connection is about as good as it gets - its also why the information may be just slightly delayed getting to Hawkbuck. There is also a possibility that 1 of the main competition is no longer an option. If the rumor is true.
Really she was the last chance to make this team any better....best hope for no injuries cause this team has zero depth.....

There are 800 players still in the portal. Thats a pretty strong take. We are trying to fill our 5th guard possibly backup 3 position 9th person on the pecking order, thats not to say she can't jump someone or an injury can occur. She appears to be a very good depth piece, but the difference between her and another option is much smaller than say McCowan and Carnegie. I still think we need 11 to 12.
