Wtf. Turning down lotto pick!?
I know it's a new concept, but some people enjoy playing for their coach and calculate that further development (along with a hefty payday) will boost their lifetime earnings potential. I know, I know, it's unheard of for players to like their coach, I know.Wtf. Turning down lotto pick!?
We’ve come a long way from Orton’s 3 ppg taking off. It’s wild seeing players now turning down First Round guarantees (Haugh, Mullin, Yaxel last year, etc.). NIL has changed everything.
Well I mean look at Yaxel -- made a few mil, made a name for himself nationally, and boosted his draft stock. It doesn't work out like that for everyone, and for some people, it makes sense to leave (see: Sheppard, Reed), but in general it's not the worst thing to be a college kid with a few $M to burn. It’s wild seeing players now turning down First Round guarantees (Haugh, Mullin, Yaxel last year, etc.). NIL has changed everything.
Kinda agree but this guy will be 23 in a couple of months.I know it's a new concept, but some people enjoy playing for their coach and calculate that further development (along with a hefty payday) will boost their lifetime earnings potential. I know, I know, it's unheard of for players to like their coach, I know.
Florida, UConn, Illinois and Duke are all going to be so good.![]()
Exactly that's the reason I say Golden would kill it here!Florida is what all of us want Kentucky to be
How many Florida fans do you know? You are completely FOS.this is what happens when you have a great coach and a non toxic fan base.
they are toxic in football culture but pretty chill with basketball expectations. How many Florida fans do you know? You are completely FOS.
Wtf. Turning down lotto pick!?
Seems like Haugh and Condon have been there 4 or 5 years. Haugh is in mock drafts. I'm guessing he's getting a big bag of cash.
Close to the same $$$, way less travel, and a max of 40 games versus 82-100, if his NBA team made the playoffs. Plus, he obviously loves playing for Golden! No brainer, unless you’re top 10ish.Wtf. Turning down lotto pick!?
They don't have a strong basketball fan identity, really. I'm worn down from of seeing certain posters dig at UK fans for being "toxic," every time I turn around. Even after the recent success, I can get decent season tickets and parking as a UF alum for a fraction of what it would cost at UK. The O dome is a great environment to watch games. I live about 2.5 hours away, and try to make it up there when I can.they are toxic in football culture but pretty chill with basketball expectations.
He had a bad knee and only so many years to make the moneyWe’ve come a long way from Orton’s 3 ppg taking off.
Wtf. Turning down lotto pick!?
Not sure anyone here would be taking any victory laps as badly as things are going on. But your favorite team is pretty good, so I suppose it's worth a trip to another team's message board to troll. Fortunately for trolls like you, our mods allow you guys to hang around for a while, unlike gatorbait or whatever it's called now.same clowns were taking victory laps yesterday
Life comes at you fast
Also, Haugh would be taking a paycut to go to the NBA. Wild.Wtf. Turning down lotto pick!?
If he is projected at the end of the lottery, then hell, he may end up making more coming back to UF.Also, Haugh would be taking a paycut to go to the NBA. Wild.
If he were to be a lottery pick, say the 10th pick. I’d bet he’s leaving at least $2M on the table next year and that’s just salary. He’d make NIL as a pro too. Also, Haugh would be taking a paycut to go to the NBA. Wild.
