Populations within Africa possess the highest levels of genetic diversity in the world. As the cradle of human evolution, African populations have had the longest time to accumulate genetic mutations and harbor the greatest variation in human DNA, with studies identifying millions of unique variations.
Blacks and Whites are 99.5% genetically the same. At the same time, humans and chimpanzees are 98.8% the same genetics. Sounds identical or close to it. However, this shows there is immense room for differences in what appears to be a small window of genetic difference.
Chimps are hairy all over, have tails, can't speak and the list goes on. It is quite easy to see the difference between human and chimps - and one might say "But the genetics are only 1.2% different!" Correct - and that small window proves to us there is plenty of room to be different. Same with the 99.5% difference in human races. Plenty of room for blacks, whites and asians to be different.
And we are different. As I said before - that's okay! But we must acknowledge there are differences - just as our eyeballs tells us on a daily basis (beyond skin color). A lot of it is cultural - I stipulate this. And a lot of it could be genetic.
