Kapke seems like a good replacement for Berke. Probably not as good on defense but better offensively.
How serious is this 5 for 5 deal with the NCAA? Could Fred be saving a spot for Jmar? I have no clue, just wondering.

I think we still pick up 1 or 2 more but probable starters are done. We'll see if Lawrence gets additional year

Iowa will be fine…they got a guard TyReek Coleman (who the Huskers wanted badly) and a big 7’3” center (Andrew McKeever).
Not to mention a borderline Ivy League education/degree. But, yeah other than all that, how weird.
Losing Blackman to the portal and Boyd no longer be eligible will really hurt the Badgers front court those two will difficult to replace.
He’s a big physical player who was a highly recruited guy out of high school. Unfortunately for him he battled injuries for his first couple of years. He can fill Garcia’s role off the bench. Play D, rebound and 5 fouls to use. Nobody is penciling him in as a starter BUT Fred and multiple other P4 coaches viewed him as that coming out of high school. He has the upside potential to give us Garcia’s minutes and he’s costing us the league minimum. Cost of attendance.
Played the same level of Competition as someone like Stirtz before he went to Iowa City
Kapke looks more athletic than Reink based on his highlight tape.
Hilarious that people think any of these basketball players care about a degree. Berke hadn't even bothered to declare a major in his 2 years at NU. No one in Turkey cares about a degree from Vandy. Berke will likely go play in Europe after next year and hang around as long as he can.
Good for Dak for landing in a good spot. Colorado has been pretty bad the past two seasons, but the Buffs will absolutely blow chunks next year - they have nobody left. Lucky for Teflon Tad Boyle that hardly anyone pays attention.
Isiah Johnson is going to Texas and the second-best player leaving CU is probably Sebastian Rancik. He's apparently headed to Florida State.

He had a meniscus transplant from a dead person. They said cartilage transplant so I’m assuming meniscus. No other place that I’m aware of to replace damaged cartilage in your leg. I’m shocked that he played at all. Joint replacement soon to be in his future. I’ve read about experimental synthetic meniscus replacement but don’t know if even that is being done.

Until I hear otherwise I'm going to swim against the current and plan that Uggy will be healthy and the starting 5. He's WAY more of Rienk replacement than Kapke. Uggy is the kind of Euro-stretch 5 that makes our offense hum. I'm glad we have Kapke though, don't get me wrong.

Would be nice to add one more ball-handler, if Leonhardt or Cale go down, we will be very limited at the point position.

Yeah I'm surprised Freeman got any power conference offers at all. Auburn better hope for a miracle bounceback season, because he regressed at Iowa and was absolutely awful at Creighton.
