Seems like our coaches might have over-estimated the interest we would get from transfers in the portal. I am not sure how this guy is any better than Bolis? Only averaged 3 ppg at Montana, and 1.4 ppg at Minnesota the year before that.

Why would Fred take Betts? He has never done anything and he gets hurt?

Good conference, program on the rise, chance to spend a year in a really cool city. I can see the appeal.

I liked Berke's toughness and his 6-ish rebounds will be missed. But I don't feel like he leaves a huge hole.
We will find out during Big 10 play. There are guys coming in who should shoot a higher percentage from 3, but if his replacements get in a shooting slump and we start cussing the team for giving up too many layups and second chance points we are going to miss him dearly.

He provided so much of what this team needs in the Big 10. Toughness, physicality, rebounding, shot blocking, he moves well laterally and guards out front surprisingly well.

Inconsistent offense and some dumb turnovers were Berke’s weak spots but I wish he had stayed. Hopefully he’s getting a bag.

I get that, but if you have a spot for a practice player, why not take a chance on a local kid who might develop into a contributor down the road, like Sam Hoiberg or Cale Jacobsen did. Like the Sanders kid from Lincoln Southwest for example. He is a much better player right now than Sam and Cale were in high school.

I don't understand using the spot on a 5th year senior who was been a benchwarmer for 4 years and has been injured a lot.
Or Lazerak Houston former Northeast player

Someone who knows the numbers. Are we done now?

I think we have one more roster spot available. I would like to see an athletic guard who can take it to the basket and get to the free throw line. We have plenty of shooters, but I feel like we could use another guy who can create. Frager is really the only one we have with that ability, unless Lanier can come in and crack the rotation.

Another big guy would also be nice, since we don't know if Uggy will be healthy, and we don't know if Curtis is going to be ready to play a lot of minutes. I'm hoping Curtis can make a big leap this offseason like Aday Mara did for Michigan last year.

But - I'm not sure we have much money left in the budget. It would probably have to be an under-the-radar guy. Maybe Virgilio can find a European player or something.

Physical point. Starts and ends there for me.
