Any chance Berke comes back? Or has that bridge been burned? I searched his name on Twitter and didn't see anything about him getting offers or taking visits yet.
Can you name a few from last year? And I'm talking guys who start or play a significant role. Team rules violations I have heard about was football related- late to practice & meetings, skipping weight workouts, and such. Haven't heard of any players missing a game due to bad grades or skipping class.Players get suspended all the time for breaking “ team rules “ most of the time it has to do with academics
I know some college kids who have class with football players. Some of them are getting an education.95% of these athletes won’t step foot in the classroom. All online
There have been remote Master's programs around even predating the internet. There are employers that will not recognize degrees from them. I had a teacher back in the day who got a master's from one of them. Did most of his stuff through the mail. Can't remember the name of the place, it was from down in Alabama. My sister is a teacher and did an Education Master's program all online. She said it was a joke. The "professors" don't even teach. She had an online textbook with quizzes built in (that you can just Google the answers and re-take as many times as you want). It grades everything automatically. She's not sure what the professors even do. But the tuition was still like $1200 per class.
Probably the same technology that they are using in driver assist vehicles. They track your eye movement too! It is insane!
Berke replacement. We'll find a PG soonCan Kapke play PG?![]()

They are all provided with the ability for an education. You’ll rarely see anyone making any decent amount in NIL walking in the quad.I know some college kids who have class with football players. Some of them are getting an education.
Hard pass, I’m told on here that we don’t want guys that can make their own shot, they’re ball hogs and won’t be good teammatesThe PG from High Point who dismantled Wisconsin and hung 30 on Arkansas is now in the portal:
Rob Martin
Looked very much like a "shoot first" guy in the tournament, but in the regular season he averaged 16 ppg on just 12 shots, which isn't bad. Shot 84% from the FT line.
Probably practice squad if we take him.Seems like we're starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel of the transfer portal. This kid didn't even start for Cleveland State, a team that went 11-22 and finished 10th in the Horizon Conference (out of 11 teams).
Yeah I think xhamster started that. They track your eye movement too! It is insane!
It’s a Zoom call, publicized by the kid’s agent. Could be with Charlie Hoiberg for all we know.Seems like we're starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel of the transfer portal. Or it might not be a real thing either. An agent can put out anything to hype his client because the school can’t comment on it.It’s a Zoom call, publicized by the kid’s agent. Could be with Charlie Hoiberg for all we know.
Am I alone in thinking its crazy a guy who started 15 games in 3 years at Merimack, western Carolina and Cleveland state even has an agent?Or it might not be a real thing either. An agent can put out anything to hype his client because the school can’t comment on it.
No! That was my first thought as well.Am I alone in thinking its crazy a guy who started 15 games in 3 years at Merimack, western Carolina and Cleveland state even has an agent?
Seems like our coaches might have over-estimated the interest we would get from transfers in the portal. I am not sure how this guy is any better than Bolis? Only averaged 3 ppg at Montana, and 1.4 ppg at Minnesota the year before that.
I would say that being on Zoom call status rather than having his entire family flown in would tell us the level of interest.15 starts in 3 years at western Carolina, Merrimack, and Cleveland State.

Being a sports agent (now) is like being a real estate agent. You don't actually have to type stuff up anymore, you don't have to pick up your client and show them around the campus or three different houses. All you are doing is having them sign a document that was saved as a template.Am I alone in thinking its crazy a guy who started 15 games in 3 years at Merimack, western Carolina and Cleveland state even has an agent?
Probably a depth piece, practice player. I think at a lot of places, probably most, a lot of money is going to go to a few guys. Good money is going to the next handful. And then there's everyone else. Every program needs a decent scout team-- preferably with guys who are smart, just happy to be there and not local room cancers.
I think Bollis wanted to leave, I never interpreted anything along the line of him being shown the door. He's sat on the bench for two years and now he wants to play. So, if that's the case Betts looks like a reasonable replacement for practice/bench. I guess it could be a local kid but I'd just take best available. I trust Fred to figure that out.I get that, but if you have a spot for a practice player, why not take a chance on a local kid who might develop into a contributor down the road, like Sam Hoiberg or Cale Jacobsen did. Like the Sanders kid from Lincoln Southwest for example. He is a much better player right now than Sam and Cale were in high school.
I don't understand using the spot on a 5th year senior who was been a benchwarmer for 4 years and has been injured a lot.
This makes me feel better. Perfect replacement for Sam Hoiberg. Great defender and passer. Very experienced.
Shocked he didn't go elsewhere when NU had that (gasp!) Zoom call with the kid from Cleveland State. This is a big one! I am so excited for next season.
The TV guys are gonna wear themselves out calling us "long."Jeez. 6'5" might be our shortest starter?
