I'm sure glad our boys pulled this one out. We're not going to win them all this year. However, it looks like we are going to win most of them! Has Bolt finally got the program built up? Can he sustain it?Rough start to the SC series opener.

If you freeze the video at :06, that pitch is caught less than six inches off the ground.I still cant believe the frame a pitch a foot and a half thing works. ******* ridiculous.

Terrible call.I still cant believe the frame a pitch a foot and a half thing works. ******* ridiculous.
Terrible call.
Maybe the ump was from So Cal and couldn't handle the weather. It was a cold windy sumbitch last night. Better weather for today and tomorrow. Winds have died down at least. 56 today. 67 tomorrow for Lincoln.Hopefully the video of that call gets forwarded to the B1G and that umps inbox. Alls well that ends well I guess.![]()

He knew who was supposed to win.It was absolute bullshvt. That ump should never be welcome back to our ballpark. He should be ashamed of himself.
Then how did the team that was ‘supposed to win’ wind up losing? Maybe it was a bad call but I’m doubting it was part of a grand conspiracy. He knew who was supposed to win.
When we start getting those calls in the B1G against the top teams I’ll drop it. I actually thought our hoops team got more calls against weaker B1G teams at times. Same deal. Umps and refs know the score. Then how did the team that was ‘supposed to win’ wind up losing? Maybe it was a bad call but I’m doubting it was part of a grand conspiracy.
If an ump really wants one team to win, then that team wins. Period. See the CWS loss to Fullerton as an example. When we start getting those calls in the B1G against the top teams I’ll drop it. Edit: A D1 ump should never miss a strike call that badly. It wasn’t remotely close.
That one did his best. He can’t help it that they pissed it down their leg later. If an ump really wants one team to win, then that team wins. Period. See the CWS loss to Fullerton as an example.
College needs the ABS system. D1 umpires aren’t that great. Hell I remember the Super regional win against Miami. The last strike to end the game was a good 4-5 inches off the plate. When we start getting those calls in the B1G against the top teams I’ll drop it.
