Great news welcome aboard it didn’t take him long to make a decision. Now the question do we get a center or have to play with what we got or possibly get a foreign player?

Jirak was 6-foot-3 as a freshman in high school, and then he grew to 6-foot-9 his sophomore year.
Jirak had been one of the bigger players on the court throughout his life, but he also had great guard skills, and he was able to develop that as he hit that growth spurt, too.
Jirak is a highly skilled player but if he had grown into his body quicker, he likely would've gotten a lot more attention on the recruiting end earlier in his high school career.

Nice! It’s a big move up to IC from Normal and it could be a little bumpy early on but I felt that Coleman fit what McCollum wants better than other reported PG candidates.

Coleman has a great opportunity to be very successful in BMC’s program.
If you are named the Chicago Tribune Region Player of the Year that says a lot. There is always a ton of talent in the Chicago metro area. I'm a bit surprised he was primarily recruited by mid-majors out of HS.
Hope it's true he committed. If he didn't and goes another way maybe get a PG to go with Coleman . USC has a 7'3 guy as well but he put up 3ppg and 2 rbs. Kind of underwhelming.
Fortunately in Northern California, outside of San Francisco in the East Bay. So, it’s colder here than in Southern CA, in LA and San Diego. Still though, every time i visit Iowa during winter, i remember why i moved away.

If you are not a 4 star or a 5 star who's performed incredibly well in summer high school AAU, are you getting a lot of attention from high majors now a days?
It just seems like the priority now for high major schools is: (1) 4 star, or better, prospects, who fit the coach's system; (2) transfer portal.
"3 star" players like Ty'reek might have to prove themselves first at a mid major before high majors give them a look. Ben and his staff probably were monitoring Ty'reek all season long.
Heck, check this out; Rivals didn't even bother rating him.

2 guards McCollum tried to get at drake were wagler and Coleman that bigger schools over looked. With Ben’s eye for talent with guards just give me more good vibes with this commit. Think from everything I read and seen he will thrive here under McCollum.
