Dayton has great basketball school with great traditions. In the 15 team A10 conference with very competitive teams. He’ll fit in great there as a 2 yr SEC player. 5 hrs drive for his parents - I was pulling for WKU but the money was better at Dayton.
I thought TP would end up at WKU also.

I'd take Travis Perry over Jaland Lowe all day; twice on Sunday. Perry puts the ball in the basket and is tough enough to survive the SEC. LOWE was neither

Lowe's analytics were far better
This is stupid. Even in his brief appearances playing with a severely separated shoulder, Lowe was clearly better than Perry ever was here. And we have no idea how a healthy Lowe would’ve done in the SEC, because he never got that chance.

If Travis Perry was from any other state would you have the same opinion? Also, Jaland Lowe had a legitimate injury that started in the blue-white game.

There's a desperation from some for a great white hope from the state to play for Kentucky. However, there's a reason that Jaland Lowe was All-ACC and Travis Perry is playing at Dayton.

9 games played; 166 minutes.
31 games; 301 minutes.

I'll take the guy with heart. I'm always in pain; suck it up.

Jaland Lowe had a dislocated shoulder and still tried to play until doctors told him that he should stop and have surgery. What injuries did Travis Perry have?
Lowe's career in customer service wasn't in jeopardy. Play through it best you can. People are so weak. And i agree; we wouldn't have heard about a boo boo on Perry. Point made.

Lowe's weak as a noodle.

Dayton lost all of their guards off of a 24-11 NIT team.
Perry should have plenty opportunity for PT but Dayton is probably a .500 team at best next season.

Lowe is a better PG than Perry.
Perry is a better SG than Lowe.
Lowe is not a SG.
Perry is not a PG.
Overall, I believe a healthy Lowe is a better player than Perry.

You're obviously trolling. There's no way you actually believe what you're saying.

Yeah. Man. I hear you. Amen. And all we'd have to do is ad Walker Horn and Zach Tow with Perry and Noah in the starting line up and we get a national title!!!!!!

I’m not defending Lowe as a great player. He has some serious flaws but the young man tried multiple times to get out there and play. Not everyone that gets injured is dogging it or trying to steal money from UK.

If you had an issue with him chucking up too many shots as a non shooting point guard, valid take. Trashing him over a legitimate injury is pathetic.

You guys are defending dudes who basically stole money.
Lowe got hurt on the job and wasn't able to play. If you get hurt on the job, are not able to safely work, and receive workers' compensation, then do you consider that "stealing money"?

Perry isn't better than Lowe.

Stevie Wonder could see that.

Good for Lil Perry on his 3rd stop. I imagine next year he will be down to wku or eku or something.
He was when he was playing in the SEC tournament. I love that version of Perry. He looked at Arkansas uber athletes and didn't flinch.

……probably a good spot for him. He was playing well at the end of the season. Dayton is a good level for him.
Maybe finally his daddy realized that he would never star at a big school. Dayton may be a little big for him, but a move in the right direction. Morehead or Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Illinois or Southeastern Missouri, would be a better level for him. In my opinion he is one of those kids that his daddy is trying to live his dreams through his son, instead of looking at what is actually what is better for his son.

I disagree. Travis can really play. He showed this at the end of the Rebels season. I bet he averages double digits this season. He just needs playing time. And I don’t want to hear about his defense either His defense isn’t any worse than Aberdeen’s or Oweh’s.

To call a racist a racist? Yes, I’ll never pass up that opportunity. A hit dog will holler.
He said a player was better than another player, that’s his opinion, to immediately jump in and accuse him of that speaks volumes of you more so than anything else.

For the love of god quit saying "daddy." You're a grown man. Do you still say "mommy"?

Hes a high school hero from right there . He's still got a big name there. He might not be the "star" but he would be loved and be most comfortable and probably perform his best . Jmo

There's no world where Travis is a better defender than those guys.

I think at this point he wants to distance himself from the state of Kentucky. He may not want the constant expectations that comes from being the all-time leading scorer in the history of Kentucky. In other states that title doesn't mean as much.
