I agree with Yuengling and PA - we got it here this past year and it is pretty solid. Much more than a "room" beer;)
Yuengling is good for a cheap beer, but you might be jaded by Old Style. When I moved from PA to Chicago in the 90s and tried Old Style for the first time, my initial reaction was like "what the F is this awful swill?".

Yeah, well Grain Belt makes "Dog Style" taste like something from Bell's or Founders. Just say'n.
Visited the Dog Style brewery in Lacrosse back in the day. After a few of them there at Oktoberfest, you won't care much about how it tastes.

Yeah I agree, chipack needs to understand that people can respond to his comments on a public message board.
Yep - sorry if by saying that I was "sorry that I hurt your feelings" affected you so deeply and was taken as such an inflammatory rebuttal. And by the way, my initial post on this wasn't even to you. You jumped on mine. I hope you run across MSU with your thin skinned approach to this Board. Good luck with that.

Since you threw it out there, tell me specifically what is wrong with Waterloo. I live there, lurk here. You picked the biggest city in Iowa and then just grabbed another city with <10% of the population of all the other cities you mentioned. I have and do walk the streets of Waterloo after dark. Have you/do you live there? I not jumping in the left/right red/blue crap, I just want to know why you chose to say compare Waterloo with the rest of what you said.
I didn't compare them to Chicago - I simply used those as bigger towns in Iowa because there was not reference given to what the OP said he considered to be small town Iowa.

Not my place to be critical of any of you Nancies sipping on your IPA’s (probably with citrus slices) because Lord knows I’ve made my share of embarrassing mistakes in life. But who has the best Iowa-made stout? A good beer is supposed to have some backbone.

92.5 points Iowa
48.5 points Minnesota. Minnesota wrestling is pathetic, as is Minneapolis, the current crap hole of America. By the way, you guys owe the rest of the country about 8 billion for bilking taxpayers.

Every team and every wrestler judges their seasons by the results at the NCAA tourney. No one gives a rat's *** about a meaningless dual meet.
Not to get political but keep thinking only Dems commit fraud, don’t look at the billions of fraud that Trump just pardoned.

I don't like IPA's and I prefer cheap beer - when I crack one open it reminds me of road drinking in the 70's. Good times.

Grain Belt in a bottle is some of the best beer on Planet Earth. Or was when I still drank beer.

would get a couple of cases of Star (from Dubuque brewery) and a 6 pack of Bud Light…

Throw the “Star” in the freezer, and get the buzz on from the Bud Light!

Then you could pull from the freezer the Star and have a great night! That stuff wouldn’t freeze, could freeze it over night and it was still drinkable.

Now I make road trips to New Glarus and illlegally transport me some Spotted Cow.

Although, truth be told, many hunting trips to Europe and Africa, and from the European trips I do like the Marzen and Festbier (Oktoberfest) and most definitely in South Africa I love the Castle lager especially under the night sky of trillions of stars.

People knew they were dumps long before the political divide. You just can't remember more than 5 minutes at a time.
Ask Sett what he thinks about Portland after he recently visited as opposed to what he’d gleaned from the “news,” in the last few years.

True story, didn't think someone would get butthurt, sorry I shared. I'm surprised they don't have litter boxes on the corners to help with the problem.
Not butthurt, just tired of lies by numpties. I despise green hair librols too.
