Okay, so thst tells me he was seeing if he could get a crazy amount of money, he didn't like the offer he got from UK, it probably wasn’t enough for him to pull up stakes and leave BYU.

It also means Pope didn't sell it well enough.

If I'm Pope, I am pleading for more money to throw at the kid, because I really believe losing him would be the breaking point for the Administration and would seal Pope's fate as UK coach.

Those of you that have been around a while know I did not support Tubby Smith, but I never called for him to be fired.

Today, I am calling for Mark Pope to be fired.

I'm not naive and realize my call means nothing, but I want to go on record.

It’s absurd how quickly this thing has turned full nuclear. The rate at which everything has just completely fallen apart is actually stunning. I just don’t see how he managed to blow it this bad, this quick.

Marc Hill is LDS. He also pushed heavily for Pope so anyone hoping for brighter days may want to find a new interest.
