We shouldn't even allow recruits to visit until after signing to come to UK at this point.
Why can’t it be? Think about all the snarky comments from guys who left? All the issues getting guys to sign. They use us for huge offers and have no intention of ever coming. I believe it with the totality of the information we have seen in two years.
Better facilities? Do we know that our 20-year-old "facility" that Cal tried to get renovated during his entire time at UK but Mitch said no is better than BYU or other schools?
Some of this stuff I’m reading on here has me worried. I hope a lot of this stuff is bull crap.
Yeah and Wright went to the Mormon capital of the world and Pope and Fox are weirder than that?

You would hope. But we supposedly Stokes locked up, had Collins locked up and then both moved on. Still on Stokes and he visits again with nothing so far. We have had every huge recruit he ever goes after turn us down. It’s a pattern and too much stuff get said by too many different people, even players and fans of the program to not be a huge issue.
I know for a fact if Michigan, Zona, UConn, etc.. had the money and roster spots to fill like we do that they would already have 4-5 of their top offers signed. They certainly wouldn’t t visit campus and leave without committing.
Maybe Pope was the weirdest Mormon in Utah and they shunned him out of the state?
Shoulda hired Mitt Romney or one of the Osmond Brothers. Good dudes and college recruits dig them.
I hope I have to eat crow, but these are just my honest feelings. I tried to be super positive yesterday. But again nothing happens that was supposed to, the portal is moving along and we have again 0 commits so far. That is not good with this stuff popping up now.
I think the poster is mocking the portion of the fan base that will attack anyone that says something they don’t like regardless of who they are.
Walker would have been called a pumper until now. And he was also all in on defending Cal till the bitter end.

The fact that we have no new AD really hurts right now. Ostensibly Mitch is still running things. It is becoming painfully obvious that Pope is way out of his depth and Mitch has no intention of doing anything about it. Where is this new roster management guy that Pope brought in to act as a surrogate " GM". Oh well ANOTHER DAY AND NO SIGNATURE! But there isn't a problem Pope has a plan.

If we paid Stokes to visit the whole athletic department and higher ups need to be tried and put in jail. I don’t hate people but Mark Pope and Barnhart is close to the first to be put on the list.
Barnhart should be banned from the state for life. He should fork over every penny he made off the university.

I tried being patient, I tried to be " fair" and reasonable but enough is enough. I voiced concern over no recruits in December and was told we will get some in the spring. Spring came and no recruits. Then I heard Pope is going to clean up in the portal. 2 weeks in and half the top 20 guys gone already. It's like Pope is kicking the fan base in the balls, and we say" Please sir may I have another" . ENOUGH!!! The basketball program is in the biggest mess I have seen it since Sutton days
There is so many fake insiders but putting **** like that out there doesn't help our images or our coaches. Its weird I haven't heard any of this **** last year. A bunch of people assuming just because Jasper Johnson sucked and his uncle popped out of the mouth. I'll almost bet anything he won't be good this year and could be good in his third year because he has a toxic *** uncle.
It's wild seeing y'all turn on Pope after the packed arena, and excited fans show you put on for ESPN, when he was introduced as your new coach. The rest of the nation was laughing their *** off about that hire, but you guys put up a good front. How bout now? LOL

Man, I am super uninformed. I thought the school always paid for the recruits visits. Admittedly, it was just assumed.
I never liked the hire and was furious when it was announced. Admittedly, I did go to the introductory press conference, but it wasn't out of excitement for the future.
Also, let's be real, MOST of the fanbase wasn't thrilled when the hire was made. We just had to accept it and try to talk ourselves into believing it would work.

Sorry for the late response. I hope it isn't true. I went to hit golf balls and touch grass. I only shared it bc it was part of TJ Walker's X account replies. Someone else had posted it.
Shoot, I hate reading that. It looks like I made a mistake getting my hopes up for this portal class.
