The competition is way more intense than it was in past years. When Ky has to compete against U Miami , Texas & Providence for players , you know the Duke’s of the world are getting the great ones. Kentucky will be OK but it is stressful waiting for 18 to 23 yr olds to make up their minds.

Talented Players who have an opportunity to go Pro will not come to UK no matter how much they pay. Pope will not get these kids to the next level, so they come here just as bargaining chip. We have Mark ******* Fox trying to land the number one high school recruit in America. We used to get guys to verbal on visits, 8-9 years ago. Why let Orlando Antigua walk? Is this the assignment being met? Recruiting Trent Noah and tearing off NBA posters off the walls?
I’d kill for Miami’s coach right now. Our recruiting would be back to where it was under Cal and with a guy with much more energy.
