In fact his lack of three point shooting was evident in Hoop Summit. I expected him to take over the game after being the Number 1 player. A lot of good players that shot the 3 in that game. Since it’s not my money I hope he comes to UK however UK needs shooters and many their could shot". Ask yourself is Stokes better than 3 shooters in the game. 8-9 million can buy players out of HS. Next year's draft is thought to be one of the worst ever, so take that for what it's worth.
I’d significantly like to see that PF for the world team at UK. Air Jesus or whatever they call him, that guy would be a star here. Stokes was kinda being froze out by the two Arkansas players, he didn’t get a lot of passes unless he was in the fast break and he for sure was playing team ball. I actually liked his game.

An all-star game is not a great place to form judgment on a player. I think he is a talent and would significantly upgrade the roster if he was to accept an offer to play for UK.
Hunch is in the only year he's in CBB, he's going to teeter on disappointment. He's the anti-Cam Boozer, totally lack maturity. You have to go get him, but I wouldn't expect him to be the savior. He's known as a good long term prospect.

It is rediculous to try and judge a player based on an all star game. In truth there is no real way to judge how good a kid is going to be until you get him on a college floor. He isn't ranked #1 for no reason however.

He has great shot mechanics. Played solid off ball defense. Decent handles at 6’7. Two offensive fouls in an exhibition was craY. One of the only players on the court with a body ready for SEC style play. I’m not sure what you’re missing. Uk isn’t offering him gobs of cash just because he’s 1 player. They are offering because they don’t have any talent on this roster yet. If they already had a wing then ok but they don’t.

Stokes literally has better shot rotation than most pros. He can shoot well from the outside. One performance isn't a scouting report ace.

The 2013 draft has to be the worst ever. 2024 wasn’t great either. I may be in the minority but this class has a lot of potential. I always judge a class based on the Hoops Summit game. No reason to believe guys like Stokes, Holt, McCoy, Branch, Smith Jr. and yes, Williams and Rippey (barf) can’t develop into solid pros. The World Team had some talent too.
I asked myself is Stokes better than any 3 shooters Mark Pope could realistically sign.
