Once again, congrats to JJ and LaSondra for bringing Dani into the fold. We still need a "4" and there are many still available.

Essence Cody 6'3"
Skylar Forbes 6'3"
Mallory Miller 6'4"
Ice Brady 6'3"
Isi Momodu 6'3"
Nunu Agara 6'2" ***
Mia Woolfolk 6'3" ***
Jessica Petrie 6'2"
Justice Carlton 6'1"

Woolfolk or Agara would be an absolute homerun.
I thought about Petrie last week, she would be a one year fill in to help out 4 position. I appreciated her hustle and grit although not caring for Nebraska’s coaching. Thoughts?

Kenny Brooks, the coach at Kentucky is killing it on the recruiting front. He has three recruits in the top 21 according to ESPN and just received a committment from former UCONN player Ayanna Patterson.

Predicting Journey to transfer doesn't sound like much of Hawk fan. I watched Frank's six pack at the field house when I was thirteen. Attended my first Iowa football game when I was nine. Have had season tickets for 41 years. F-off bonehead. I bleed black and gold.
Read the post dumb ***. I am a fan of hers, but she has stated plenty of times she filled a need, not a desire. She is not 4 size. She can be a 3 developing. I said if she is forced to fill in at a 4, she very well could leave to play a position she desires. If she transfers the Deal issue will be far less an issue the JH. However, she needs to develop offense over the summer to play 3. Read.

I don’t know what to tell you man. Wore down. It’s not complicated. It’s okay to be critics or honest with an assessment. Unless you have other agendas.
By your logic all of the guards must have been really tired because they all shot about the same or worse over that period.

The stats don’t lie. You can’t argue it. And it reinforces my opinion on her overall talent and where Iowa needs to elevate. If you can’t legit assess her and be willing to acknowledge areas or deficits, then it’s a different agenda. You feel the need to protect her for some reason. Or exaggerate her talent. Solid role player, workhorse, high motor. Shes been recruited over at the 2g. You’re not gonna hurt her feelings..

Dude. We get it. She replaced your girlfriend so you're upset. That's the only agenda here. You need to move on. Now, what actual stats would you like to discuss that I haven't already provided to you and you've continually ignored?

If MW slots immediately into the 4 and is a contributor/factor, then that should make AVa even more dangerous. Especially if they can get out in transition.

Feels like the potential flaws/weaknesses would be consistent 3 pt shooting and depth. Which I’m assuming will be addressed to some degree over the next few days.
What you pointed as MW’s weaknesses, she’s already much stronger than HS. She has everything to give us a big upgrade at the 4, maybe with some struggles at the beginning, but I would bet that in her freshman year MW will already be the team leader in rpg.

You've jumped on me a couple times as well. So lets just say someone could have the same opinion of the way you post. Look I can get a bit prickly as well. But if you dish it, you better be able to take it. It was a little jab - and then you jumped out of your shoes. Affectively an overreaction for the board. So cussing like you are above at me . . . seems like you are in a situation where you are forgetting at least 3 fingers are point back at you.

As to Journey and coaching decisions. A coach has to do what is best to win. Jan can't worry about pleasing Deal and losing her by not playing her enough. As to Journey - Journey has to put in the work to be a 3 if she wants to be a 3. She is an effective 4 with her current skill set. Personally I think she will improve. If she doesn't that isn't necessarily on Jan. With the way the portal is you can fill any hole at any time.

You mention Deal. I thought you were better than making strawman arguments. This isn’t about Deal. Maybe you’re more obsessed with her.

You’re not addressing my point at all. TS wore down. Look at HER stats and play. She has been recruited over in the portal. All factual. You should take up my feelings about TS talent with JJ. We seem to feel the same. Really lazy argument here.

But back to the portal.

Woliczko stronger than Stuelke? No. Don't do that, you create expectations that will never serve Woliczko well. She's going to do fine, but she's a long way from being able to rebound with a Big Ten big pushing on her. It's not MW's frame, and not her game. She will add muscle and strength, but it takes time.

That’s fair. I think being a starter and needing her to be consistent scorer wore her down and contributed to the stats. But it’s impossible to really know.

Whether it’s worn down or just poor play, it reinforces my opinion (and maybe I’ll be proven wrong) that I think Iowa to elevate and make a FF run needs a talent upgrade now at SF (based on JJs comments about where TS will play). Maybe having DC at 2g will take pressure off TS and allow her to be more of a secondary player. I just think to be elite Iowa can upgrade there and have TS be a valuable bench player. I don’t think TS is a starter on any of the teams who legit will compete for a title next year. Again, I like her as a player largely because of her motor and effort.

You honestly believe a 20 year old wouldn't be completely exhausted playing an hours worth of basketball a week for five months straight?
You're probably right. I feel so dumb now. I think the whole team must have been exhausted as poorly as they all shot the ball.

She isn't stronger. Not even close. I met Hanna a couple years ago with my children before the game at the elevators. She is well put together, her arms and legs are stronger, but she is also 4 years older. MW uses here body very well. I think we will be very happy with what she gives us.

He might be killing it but so is Notre Dame, the problem will be similar to Iowa in a year or two, can he keep them all happy and more importantly when you bring in that type of a recruiting class that takes money out of your pocket down the road for future recruits.

I meant that in the biggest weakness he pointed out in MW’s game “Feels like the potential flaws/weaknesses would be consistent 3 pt shooting” she’s more stronger (or better) than Hannah. I don’t know if it was clear.

Yep that basketball program is well funded.
