Thank you Kirk and Tim, for investing in the pass by getting great players like Tony! It really shows that they're committed to making a change and improving that aspect of the offense. That's my coach!
A change? Kirk's always had the same investment in the pass. 50/50 balance, right?

Great players? Tony may be. But how many snaps have you seen him play?

Stop with the fan stuff

You simply HAVE to be able to throw the ball. I can think of multiple games Iowa lost because of a lack of a passing attack.

I’m not saying Iowa should run an air raid offense, or even throw the majority of the plays. A good mix of passes (including a few downfield) to keep the defense off balance, along with a strong running game.

I hope Helinski is the answer to that as Brown seems to be the better runner but no so much as a passer.

Funny how no one has any thoughts about that 🤔
Here, let me help you guys out, since I know many of you are allergic to the truth.

Love seeing Kirk support WRs catching passes first, and doing everything else second. Really shows his commitment to the pass. Thank you, Coach!

Dodged a bullet. Know what we got there, so shut him down & study the playbook.

I mean it’s not great news, he’s going to miss all of Summer camp now. Knowing how Kirk operates, he’s not getting on the field right away either.

I had thought Hecklinski was the more mobile of the 2, am I incorrect? Haven't seen Hank enough but he didn't look like a dual threat type when he was out there.

What should I give him credit for? Tony Diaz was a sought after transfer, and add to that hes yet to play in a game for Iowa. When Bud has a WR that can get to 800 yards in a season, I'll give him some props.
You will be waiting a long time for that to happen under bud. He would not be capable of coaching jerry rice type wr. Be gone bud.

Unless this is worse than we think, Diaz has time to heal up and be ready to contribute in 2026.

Now that he is healthy, I still think Evan James is going to be a pleasant surprise too.
