So if what's rumored is true he was asking for $3M+ in NIL, and now he's open to maybe come back to KY. Maybe BYU isn't coming through with the NIL he was anticipating. I think UK could do better. He averaged less than 10 ppg, liability on D, struggled to get open vs better athletes, and a bit inconsistent.

Sounds like BYU hasn’t committed to meeting his asking price yet. I still wouldn’t be opposed to him coming back, but it needs to be for the right price. I don’t think he’s worth one of the biggest offers in program history like he was allegedly seeking yesterday, especially with so many other holes to fill in the roster as it currently stands.

cant imagine the money gets matched on our end so unless the offer from BYU isnt real its hard for me to believe in any return

Can’t bring him back. Stick to your guns, coaching staff. Use that budget for guys that you believe are making agreements that match their value.
Agree 100% . Hate to lose a guy who has been in our system for the past 2 years and can shoot but he's not worth anywhere near 3m in my opinion.

No doubt myself and others have hammered Pope but most of this forum wanted to clean house with the roster. Pope is now doing that so it's unfair to bash him on retention when he's doing what was needed and wished for by most of the fanbase.

you know what, I'd just rather not know what UK is giving these kids in NIL money

and if they were smart, they'd drive a 2011 Toyota Camry and not ever give a hint to anyone how much bank they have while they are here.

Everyone would get along so much better

Jasper Johnson's Uncle would blab it on twitter though
