Ohh yes!!!
This is something you'd say if you're not voter-friendly and you're suspicious that mail-in voting is full of fraud, which it's not. The goal should be to increase voter participation, not make it harder, but Republicans fear more people voting because increased turnout historically hasn't been good for them. If this is the concern, why not promote policies that incentivize voters instead of creating roadblocks to keep the totals down?Common sense. Mail in your ballots far enough ahead of time to have it get there on time. If you are worried about mail getting lost, vote in person. If you can't vote in person (i've been in that situation before) and your ballet gets lost in the mail, then that's the way it goes. Just like if you wait until near poll closing time to drive to the polling location and your car breaks down and you never make it.
The USPS isnt' the greatest everywhere in the country but the amout of "lost" or abnormally delayed ballots should not move the needle.
Of course you do. You're a right wing nut job.Disagree with this assessment.

As a reminder, this wasn't considered a huge issue until Trump made it one so now we're intentionally putting sand in the gears to appease that one man. It's why he installed Louis DeJoy to intentionally gum up the works in 2020 and the USPS hasn't recovered since.
"President Donald Trump recently admitted his attacks on the United States Postal Service (USPS) are nothing short of intentional, telling Fox News that he was against funding the USPS because, “They need that money in order to make the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots.”
Speaking at his daily pandemic news briefing on Aug. 12, Trump said he would not approve $25 billion in emergency funding for the Postal Service, nor $3.5 billion in supplemental funding for election resources.
“They need that money in order to make the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” Trump said. “But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting.” https://labortribune.com/sorting-ma...mits-undermining-usps-to-hamper-vote-by-mail/
And yet...
Again, we were talking about mail-in voting, which hasn't proven to be full of fraud and there are multiple safeguards to keep it that way. The SAVE ACT wants to eliminate it entirely except under very narrow conditions but why do away with it if it hasn't contributed to election fraud? This has become an integral part of the way red states like Mississippi, Arizona, Utah and Alaska have traditionally voted so it will harm them too, especially Alaska where voting precincts are few and far between."increasing voter participation" would be great if it happens but if it doesn't, it doesn't. Up to the individual if they want their voice heard, or if they don't want to be bothered and will let the rest of us take care of it for them.
Advertise, create pubic service announcements and let people know that there is an election coming up in "x" months and here are the things you should think about to ensure you are registered or receive your mail in ballot in time. I'm all for that. All for "electon day " being a federal holiday and make sure that there is a few day window so that people who have to work on that federal holiday have an alternate day. All good. I think in-person voting should be the rule. Mail in should be the exception, like it always was. We are over COVID now.
But, it's not like we have surprise pop-up elections. I think that there is a pattern. We elect a president every so many years. Elect senators and representatives every so many years. The timline is always the same. lol.
If you need your hands held to figure out what to do to vote in an election or can't backwards plan to get it done, then you don't need to be voting. Information is one thing we have a lot of. More now than ever.
I give people credit and have faith that they will figure out things that are important to them. This includes poor people, black people, female people, blue haired people, cross-dressing people, white people, any kind of people. If voting is important to them then they will do what is necessary to get it done.
Ok. i"m still in favor. You bring up red states .. i don't care. I'm not viewing this as a partisan issue. I'm on the side of normal, common sense, americans that want secure elections where results aren't manipulated and only citizens vote. I'm more than ok with rolling back things that maybe have been allowed in the past in order to do that.Again, we were talking about mail-in voting, which hasn't proven to be full of fraud and there are multiple safeguards to keep it that way. Speaking for myself, I've had jobs in the past that required me to travel on a moment's notice so though I may have planned to vote in person, I found out at the last minute I wouldn't be here and without mail-in voting, I would have been disenfranchised. It would enrage me if my mail-in vote wouldn't have arrived in time because Trump's appointee intentionally slowed the mail service at his command.
For that reason, I do think it's reasonable to allow a cushion of 3-5 days for those votes to be counted as long as they're postmarked in time. Keep in mind that in many cases they don't need to wait for all the mail-in votes to come in because the leads are so large that they know the outstanding votes won't make up the difference so this won't create an issue in every state.
This is a solution in search of a problem IMO.

No worries. Both of those are pretty good, but tbh , i liked eitehr of the previous ones better. However, I'll just use one of mine for a while. Why not?Damn dude, I'm trying to tell you we already have this but you insist on seeing the voters as criminals.
Now I can't decide between these two
That's cool but it makes you sound like an honorable person? No worries. Both of those are pretty good, but tbh , i liked eitehr of the previous ones better. However, I'll just use one of mine for a while. Why not?
You would not be the judge of that in this world or any you could imagine for yourself. That's cool but it makes you sound like an honorable person?![]()
Remember all the "AID" we sent to Ukraine and Sam Bankman-fried was allegedly laundering it back to Democrats? They believe they did it again with Ukraine sending HUNDRENDS of MILLIONS of U.S. TAXPAYER dollars to the DNC to help Biden's 2024 run against President Trump. Shocker.
DNI Gabbard revealed that U.S. intelligence intercepted that they were going to disguise money marked for "clean energy" for "environmental causes," send our tax money to Ukraine, and then back to the DNC and the Biden-Harris campaign.
DNI Gabbard is digging deeper to expose the plot to see if and how much was carried out and stolen from U.S. taxpayers.
None of this is surprising and happens to this day all over the world. Why do you think every other day when Biden was in office, they were sending hundreds of millions of dollars to Ukraine? It wasn't aid. It was money laundering 101.
Im right there with you. Its overdue.these kind of reports seem to come out very frequently. But if the government has evidence of this, when will the charges come?

BREAKING:
DOZENS OF ELECTIONS WORKERS WHO FACILITATED THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN PENNSYLVANIA have come forward claiming that they were PERSONALLY ORDERED by then Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar to TRASH A TOTAL OF OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND BALLOTS CAST FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP and to count OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND FRAUDULENT BIDEN BALLOTS that were cast in the names of dead voters and illegal aliens and shipped into election precincts in the middle of the night. The fraud was reportedly especially egregious in Philadelphia and was "outcome determinative"... President Trump was right that he actually WON THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA AND IT WAS STOLEN FROM HIM, according to these election workers. They are now warning about Democrat efforts that are already underway to try and RIG CLOSE RACES IN SWING DISTRICTS in the midterms in the commonwealth. These are STONE COLD CROOKS... ARRESTS NEED TO START NOW!
