Had Pope not sequestered the team on Selection Sunday, it's possible that the "impossible shot" would not have occurred. (tongue in cheek). Obviously, the team meeting was a masterstroke that produced incredible results.

Had Pope not promised that we would play "much better" in the tournament, we might have lost to Iowa State by 40 instead of a razor thin 19.

Without two miracle shots this season, we would have 16 losses and not a mere 14.

With Pope at the helm, out basketball seasons will be much shorter, thus providing opportunities to relax and enjoy other March hobbies and interests

Pope has helped us increase our vocabularies with non-stop hyperbolic words and expressions.

Pope's performance has justified our belief that our AD is an absolute moron.

As great as that Oweh moment was, losing to Santa Clara would have been better for us. It would have really put head on UK to fire Pope.

I am saving a lot of money on UK merchandise and tickets.

I am looking forward to MLB starting up without those pesky NCAA playoff games getting in the way.

I am more resigned to losing so my wife doesn't have to deal with a frustrated spouse.

I am not invested in off-season movements for the first time in years, which gives me more time and cognition to do other things.

Once this dumb era of UK sports is behind us, I will appreciate the return to glory more because of the awful basketball played here since 2020.

Yeah. I’m excited for baseball, too. Gonna get a lot of things improved on our home this spring/summer. I’ll follow and see who we can land but I’m not gonna follow it like I normally do.
