Wow!! 8th grader, 13 years old and just scored 25 points in the State Tournament.
If Pope is still here when Rondo is a Senior and whiffs on him so help me allahGo all BCG and offer him now.
You shut your mouth (on Pope still being here). Just the mere thought depresses me.If Pope is still here when Rondo is a Senior and whiffs on him so help me allah
He won’t be. Even making a few sweet 16’s or something the seasons are bad and S16’s don’t mean jack. Easy to see the trajectory is not sustainable and I doubt boosters are going to sit and watch Kentucky get blasted in recruiting or on the floor all year that long. You shut your mouth (on Pope still being here). Just the mere thought depresses me.

Jackson Co starting 5 has an avg age of 23 and most of them are on divorce number 2. They weren't held back for athletics though.I doubt there are many "19 yr old hold back seniors" for KY high schools, maybe just a handful across the whole state. Many SRs are 17 (I was, as was both my kids).
But can we just bring him in next year to UK and request 8 years for him.

JC’s team is nothing but freshman and softmores. Most of the kids quit due to having jobs because mommy and daddy dont spoil there arse like Laurel co and probably your county.Jackson Co starting 5 has an avg age of 23 and most of them are on divorce number 2. When he's a senior we gonna have Bruce Pearl, Nate Oats, Todd Golden, or someone way better as our couch. You shut your mouth (on Pope still being here). Just the mere thought depresses me.
Jobs??? In Jackson Co??? Not since the Frostyette burned down.JC’s team is nothing but freshman and softmores. Most of the kids quit due to having jobs because mommy and daddy dont spoil there arse like Laurel co and probably your county.
Appreciate the jab though, that was funny.
In 6th grade we played Rockcastle in football and our joke was their OL all drove to the game ans had kids lolLol.
That reminds me of when I was 13, and our 13yo all-star (baseball) team (small KY county) made it to the state tournament. I was big for 13 (5'10, 180 & had to shave) a head above everyone on my team. But we played some eastern KY team, they were all "corn-fed" (or 23) every single one of them was as big as I was (with Duck Dynasty beards....ok, I'm joking about that part).
The covid year allowed kids in Kentucky to repeat a year that played sports. My son is a 18 yr old junior, will turn 19 in September. Most athletes in Kentucky high school did that.I doubt there are many "19 yr old hold back seniors" for KY high schools, maybe just a handful across the whole state. Many SRs are 17 (I was, as was both my kids).

This is 2026. I would say there are hundreds of hold back seniors in Kentucky and I'm probably low balling the number.I doubt there are many "19 yr old hold back seniors" for KY high schools, maybe just a handful across the whole state. Many SRs are 17 (I was, as was both my kids).

Yep and at the end of the day it doesn't matter. You either have the talent or you don't. And genetics matterThis is 2026. I would say there are hundreds of hold back seniors in Kentucky and I'm probably low balling the number.

There are plenty. But it doesn't matter if some kid from BFE is 19 when his dad isn't Rajon RondoI doubt there are many "19 yr old hold back seniors" for KY high schools, maybe just a handful across the whole state. Many SRs are 17 (I was, as was both my kids).

And I joke about Jackson because I love it and if your from there we're probably some sort of kin![]()
I was the youngest kid in my graduating class and turned 17 in December before graduation. I actually started early because of my grades and was moved up a year or would’ve been 18. Three of my teammates who had stayed back in six grade to play basketball were all 19. Tons of 19 year olds In High school, some older.I doubt there are many "19 yr old hold back seniors" for KY high schools, maybe just a handful across the whole state. Rajon’s name is Pierre Rajon Sr.Pierre Rondo Jr. ???? Who is Pierre Sr.?? Wouldn’t it either be Pierre Rondo( no junior) or Rajon Rondo Jr. ?
