He also said Jacob Toppin was a first round pick in some mock NBA drafts (he wasn't).A KSR FB page... listen to yourself, man.
Can you not see that I quoted someone else? Are you ok?I never said it's by KSR and I have seen Mario Maitland post on that page.
Yeah but not all classes and number one’s are created equal. AD would go for way more money than Skal ya know? He will get paid a ton but Kansas isn’t even offering like 2M for him. I think 4M is about his cap. They both were the number one player in the country in their respective classes.
Wrong about what? The guy said it was posted on Matt Jones site. I wasn't aware Matt owned Facebook, my bad. What are you continuing to argue ? You’re wrong.
This thread has degenerated into the validity of where I got the information from. Of course it is crazy but it stimulates discussion and this board is not going to have credibility with some people as to where information came from. Can you not see that I quoted someone else? Are you ok?

"I can tell you with 100% accuracy that anything posted on that matt Jones ball suck site is bullsh!t"No he didn’t.
I’m literally not gonna spell it out for you after he already did but that’s not what he said.
That’s part of my point. BYU & those types of schools do have to seriously overpay to land big time recruits. And, I don’t even mind overpaying. But, we should never have to double or triple offers & act desperate, either. How much did Dybentsa get from BYU? He got close to that and was the number one player in the country coming out of high school. Same as Stokes.
Since it's none of any of our money, we really shouldn't care how much they spend.I really hope it’s true. Both of those guys actually move the needle. Pate is an elite playmaker for his size. Stokes is just a bull in a China shop.
What do you think about the Quinn guy? The more I read about him, and the difficulty of the league he plays in, the more I think he might be great for us.Totally agree. No way I’d give Stokes $7M. I don’t believe that anyway. But, he’s not worth that. He is a great player, but, for $7M you can add 2-3 guys who would make a similar or bigger impact. With probably half the headache, too. I get strong team cancer vibes from Stokes. I’d definitely take a chance on him, though. Just not a $7M chance, or anything close to that.
Pate isn’t worth $5M, either. He’s a glorified spot up shooter who seems selfish in the limited highlights I’ve seen. Both guys will likely be really good on this level. But, not worth those price tags. Somebody needs to reel in Pope if he’s seriously throwing out offers like this. He shouldn’t have to freaking double everybody else’s offers to lure kids to UK. Ridiculous.
You drunk bro? Your punctuation is atrocious. They both will be here ,I don't know about the money,I questioned that sight ,and they said everything post is accurate,I'm hearing they both will be here, but I don't know bout the money, and I think Stokes announcement could come before then..
Bro, WHO CARES HOW MUCH MONEY IS SPENT!!I’m hoping Pope is using his own money to purchase those 2 players, he seems to owe us after this season. Then use Official NIL money to get players that can actually play and win.
Imagine pope trying to coach a player he’s paying more than he makes![]()
I disagree. You have to have a superstar. 2 decent players don't equal 1 great one. We have seen that.Totally agree. No way I’d give Stokes $7M. I don’t believe that anyway. But, he’s not worth that. Stokes may not be Dybantsa, but he will be the best (or at least top 5) FR in the class. So yes we need him.
As for Pate, please NOOOOO!!!!! He is a volume scorer, a guy who likes to shoot a lot but can't shoot it well. Oh, and he turns it over a lot too.
29.5% from 3, 36.4% FG, 44-45% from 2 = NO THANK YOU!!!Pate has a better 3pt% in the G League than Antonio Reeves and Koby Brea. I'm not sure where this reputation comes from. He's much younger as well by 4-5 years.
If you are looking at G league stats from their website, you have to switch from tip-off tournament to regular season.
29.5% from 3, 36.4% FG, 44-45% from 2 = NO THANK YOU!!!
Those 3.8 TOs are a big red flag too.
Ellis looks legit, IMO. Very skilled with good size & athleticism. It’s hard to tell from highlights but he seems to be a good passer with nice vision & awareness, too. I’m always leery of leagues overseas bc I just don’t follow them & don’t know enough to form an educated opinion. And, the success rate seems to be hit & miss. But, like you, the more I read, the more it sounds like he’s playing against quality competition. And, programs like Duke, UF & UH recruiting him adds some legitimacy, too. What do you think about the Quinn guy? The more I read about him, and the difficulty of the league he plays in, the more I think he might be great for us.
Additionally, what about the fact that Pope spoke out against adding players like Dink, but now we are going after that same type of player? Should Dink even be allowed to play in the NCAA? IDK, I'm not an expert on the rules. It's just kind of weird. Ya know?
You don’t consider Yaxel a superstar? Michigan got him for $3M. And, as far as I know, only a few guys were paid considerably more. I agree about needing a superstar. But, I think they can be had for far less than $7M. And, personally, I wouldn’t want to give that kind of money to an unproven, incoming FR with character issues. If I WAS gonna pay a FR like that it wouldn’t be Stokes. I realize he’s an amazing talent. But, like I said before, I get selfish, team cancer vibes from him.I disagree. You have to have a superstar. 2 decent players don't equal 1 great one. We have seen that.
In this era I believe you pay high for a great one and fill around him
that’s not how numbers work. But professional players commonly make more than their coach
Umm that is how numbers work. 7 is greater than 5.
and the key word is professional. He already can’t relate to college aged kids.
sorry that took some reading comprehension skills to understand for you.
