Update your brackets folks. Holloway removed from campus and won't play, according to news reports -- no doubt despite Nate Oat's best efforts to portray the whole thing as:

1. A misunderstanding.
2, SODDI (Some Other Dude Did It)
3. The weed was legal.
4, It wasn't really weed.
5. Some random injured bench warmer was the REAL dealer (known in Alabama as the 'Brandon Miller Defense.')

Oats is giving Bill Self a run for his money in getting the best (alleged) felons money can buy.

What’s bad is even CBD gummies are frowned upon. Like fire you frowned upon if you get drug tested. Which is crazy. They don’t even get that high. They mellow you out and do wonders for anxiety.

there’s a lot of natural things you can do for anxiety. In my profession we know quite a bit about it, and there are things that can actually likely cure it long term but you’ll never see it.

I’m all in on Hofstra
Just put 10 on them (moneyline +580). I got my bachelor's from there, so I watch their games here and there. They suck, don't think the Tide will have any issues. Still, $58 bucks would be nice for few beers.

So we’re don’t care about law and order today?

I will agree to a point it’s dumb. But it’s still the current law.

I don’t care about laws that were made to protect billionaires money at our expense. Or laws that were created to empower facist rule. Both of which are true here.

Just having enough money for a big sack doesn't mean you have to buy a big sack. But for some it does.

Multiple things can be true at once.

1. Lots of athletes and really college students in general are using weed, and possession doesn’t necessarily make him a criminal kingpin.

2. He’s still pretty stupid to get caught with an amount large enough to catch felony charges and is likely going to suffer the consequences in a state that still aggressively prosecutes it.

3. Not really sure what Oats has to do with it unless there’s some kind of evidence that Holloway was privately widely known to be trouble and he was running interference on it. Holloway didn’t have any public record until this incident blew up.

Plus "paraphernalia" and cash (of course he had cash, he's getting paid to play basketball). Not a smoker, but this seems a little over blown for a college kid who can afford the pound of pot. Unless they prove he had intent to distribute, this is kind of weak. Law is the law though, I guess,

UGA football players do worse than this in mass!

That said, if Oats plays him in the NCAA I will lose the last little bit of respect I have for Nate.
Do you realize how much weed a pound is? If it somehow was for personal use it's epically stupid to be holding that much. This automatically is charged and convicted as intent to distribute unless Alabama pulls some crooked magic for him.

It's not like he was just unlucky and got busted for weed during a routine traffic stop for having a tail light out.
He was busted by a drug task force meaning he had been under surveillance for a while.
Drug task force do not bust people who have marijuana in their homes for personal use.
There had to be some reason he was on their radar to.begin with.

Yeah after all the bad PR with Brandon Miller, this ain't just going away.

This. Cops don't just randomly show up to your door with search warrant for drugs. He had been under investigation for awhile- meaning- despite NIL this dude was probably dealing or buying at a high rate (and they're using him to get to someone else).

You know you live in Alabama where "drugs are bad mmmkay" and you're stupid enough to attract this attention. Not smart.

He's probably pulling in 7-figures in NIL but still slinging dime bags for the love of the game. You have to respect the hustle.

He's done at Bama regardless of whether the trafficking charge is placed against him or not.
Too much media attention for Oats to have any say so at this point.
I just wonder if this nullifies his NIL contract.
