With the amount he had, he would be breaking the law in almost every legitimate country on earth. Even in countries that have decriminalized it for personal use, there are limits on the amount you can posses. There are countries where it's legal IF you have a cultivation/medicinal distro license.
So while Alabama is a backwards state, there's no legit excuse in most countries for that unless you're running a legal business.
Yeah I get that. I can only have 10 ounces at a time in my cabin in Michigan. But the man is still legally below the threshold for trafficking in Alabama. You seem to want him prosecuted for trafficking for some strange reason.

All came in a regular white usps package wrapped in newspaper and double vacuum sealed..
Yeah, but they can still tell on x-Ray wether it’s organic matter and what’s inside wether it matches what was claimed to be shipped. I watch the customs enforcement show all the time and the things they hide drugs in are crazy and they find em.

No. I never once said that. And I challenge you to quote it.
I'm just merely commenting that he's an idiot and broke the law.

I do however think it's very naive to assume that it's all for himself especially given the way it was stored and hidden about. That coupled with the prescription bottle that wasn't his is going to add fuel to his legal fire.

Again, I don't care and proving trafficking is gonna be difficult unless they have other evidence of him dealing (which they might).

Yeah it's not hard to tell at all. And even an inkling of suspicion at customs (including body language) is enough to get you and the package searched. Sending drugs through the mail is risky as hell.

You're sure as hell insinuating he was trafficking.

He’s a DUMBASS.

No way that’s all for himself. Dude was selling weed even though he’s making more money than most in NIL.

He should be locked up just for being that stupid.

I have no issues with personal possession. This numpty was obviously selling in the side and caught the attention of probably the Feds.

just plain stupid.

Dudes making bank but has a dealing side hustle. That makes sense. /s.

Dude had it hiding in multiple places around his house. That’s not personal use. That’s a guy who knows he could get in big trouble if caught. Whelp.

Don’t have to have scales apparently in Alabama. The weight alone is enough to catch the trafficking charge. He’s toast.

Again. Agree or disagree with it but that’s the law in Alabama. And he broke it. Now he gets to use his NIL to get a good lawyer.
Regarding your last quote, he's 0.1 kg below the trafficking threshold.

Maybe you don't want him prosecuted, but it appears you have decided he is trafficking.

And you have decided/insinuating he hasn't. Neither of us knows. So, let's leave it at that.

It's not personal man.

I'm going with the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, and the letter of the law, which says that the man did not possess enough to be charged with trafficking.

That's the way our legal system was designed to work, not that it always does.

Long story short.. Took few bars,, went to Walmart's,, got caught stealing a set of broad heads that was under $30 and had over $1500 cash on me.. Bant from Walmart's for a year and I never even had a bow or arrows to use the broad heads with..

I agree with presumption of innocence. This however is just going to be like getting caught on video. There's not much of a defense you can raise. Hell, I'm not sure what his lawyer is even gonna claim

Yeah, he's screwed on the possession charge. I hope some folks on the jury believe in nullification. That's his only hope really.

Same, I walked out with a copy of Empire strikes back on Blu Ray. I had 1600 in cash on me, I told them I went to go get my wallet because I was out of it. Got banned and fined. $350 in court costs for a $20 movie smh 🤦‍♂️ and a year of probation.

Cross Oates off my “next UK coach”
list. Between Brandon Miller, Charles Bediako and now this — too many red flags to ignore.
How in the hell do you blame Oates for this?

I don’t care if Oates gave him the weed. Screw morals. You and Mitch can have your morals. Give me a dirtbag if that’s what it takes to win again.

It will be a plea bargain. He will plead to a lesser charge and get a slap on the wrist.

There’s bending the NCAA rules and breaking the law. You’re willing to break the actual law to win?

There’s plenty of dirt bags who have won national titles that don’t recruit players who are accessories to murder. Todd Golden, Rick Pitino and Dan Hurley for example. How many titles has Nate Oates won?
