At this point, I'd give him a lot of bench time to get the younger guys PT for development.
Keegan cleared to resume on-court activities but won't return to play until after the All-Star break as will be re-evaluated in 2 more weeks.

Kings lost to Orlando last night. Keegan had 15/8 and a couple of assists.
Here's James Ham, a Kings insider for ESPN 1320 AM in Sacramento. James took over for Matt George, the former host of the Locked on Kings Podcast. Matt is now with Sactown Sports 1140 AM in Sacramento. The first 9 minutes or so cover Keegan's return to play following injury. Overall, he said Keegan did well in his return, and hopes Keegan "Takes the next step."

Here's Matt and Kayla with a trade Keegan scenario. Personally, I'd love to see Sac trade him, preferably to the Spurs because Fox and Barnes are there. Both are former teammates. I'd hate to see him go to teams like Charlotte or Brooklyn, because they are rebuilds as well. Overall, I believe that Sac is under a curse. J/K but it's been a real mess there.

Was watching Celtics vs wizards yesterday on NBA network. Boston announcers.
Celtics were up 30,then wiz caught fire with vucevick and Hardy making like 10 straight shots to cut it to 12. Boston announcer:
" They gotta get those guys outta there..making too many shots!"
Wiz pulled them and Celts win comfortably.
Tanking can be difficult when guys want to show their game.
A month left in the regular season and they have not shut Keegan down yet. Are they seriously considering trying to get him back in? Shut him down, and don't risk further injury. SMH.
And, if that wasn't bad enough, Doug Christie has said that Sac will not tank. They were in position to get a top 3 pick in this year's draft, and now they've won 4 of their last 5 and have moved up in wins to the point that they will be around an 8th pick.

See that Kon Knueppel broke Keegan's NBA Rookie record of 3 pointers made. He's gonna smash it.
If he beats Keegan's 12 3's in one game, then he's really done something.
That was Keegan's 2nd season if I recall. The NBA Record is still 14 by Klay Thompson

Agree with Matt here and pretty much all along. Have to dump these big contracts next year. Hope the Kangz get a super high pick to keep building the young core. Go after a pricey contract next year and the process to get back to at least the Play-In will begin. Sabonis, DeRozan, and LaVine are the biggies they have now. Get 2 of 3 of these off the books next year. Not sure what Westbrook's contract is like, but probably pretty reasonable for sure for what he brings.
James Ham says Keegan has been cleared for contact basketball per the organization. What I'm understanding is that even being cleared, the player(s) must begin with one on one, and work up to five on five. That's going to take some time. How much? I don't know, but the Kings only have nine games left. With these few games to go, will they get him on the court and risk aggravating the ankle injury. Keegan has said that the ankle injury is a lingering issue and it would take until the summer to heal.
