Well then in that case, I blame Hausen.Ben & his staff recruited Hausen & signed him. The blame starts with them.

Too soon.reminded me of some the great KF loses
Well then in that case, I blame Hausen.
Unfortunately, replay showed he wasn't - unless he was fouled before actually catching the ball.Ben seemed pretty adamant that Hausen was fouled, which is why he shot it.
The women always managed to get the ball to Caitlin even when everyone in the universe knew that's what they wanted to do. They ALWAYS got her the ball. Look at the double screen with 1.5 seconds to go against Indiana--or was it Ohio State. Anyway, you know the game. Caitlin ran from one sideline to the other past a couple of screens, Kate Martin inbounds the ball behind her, but CC grabs it, spins, fires off balance, swish. Iowa wins by one. And, of course, that wasn't the only time CC hit a game winner in similar circumstances. That's one of those moments you give it to Bennett and no one else, no matter how obvious it is.
Fvcking douchebagWow. How far Iowa basketball has fallen. Hawks making the NCAA tournament — even a smaller field — used to be a given back in the day. Now we’re celebrating simply making teh tournament? GTFO.
Hausen wasn't fouled, but even if they had called it, what are the odds Hausen, in that situation, makes all three FTs? Plus, there was still plenty of time for OSU to get a shot off. It was just messed up, man. Messed up.Fouled on hand and didn't call it.
No 3 FTs.
OSU wins.
To be fair, it was entirely the fans that placed the expectations on Hausen's potential.
P.S. They need to leave Hausen in Chicago and Fed Ex him the rest of his sh** that's still in Iowa City.![]()
Which way you going with this?#8 seed IOWA
#1 seed DUKE
Bend over, bit.ches!!!!
That's how it went far too often under Tom Davis. It seemed Iowa ALWAYS drew Duke in the second round . . . Of course, there are only 60-some other teams, so it's tough to avoid an Iowa-Duke matchup.#8 seed IOWA

I thought too actually.Sage was more open when he was bringing the ball up. Might have been better to just play it out, instead of calling timeout and let OSU get their defense set.
Much rather have Sage pulling up for 3 than whatever the F that was
FIFY.In a 3 point loss, a look at Iowa's defense:
30 points: Iowa's defense gave up 10 layups and 5 drinks.
81.8% I'd take that.Hausen wasn't fould, but even if they had called it, what are the odds Hausen, in that situation, makes all three FTs? Plus, there was still plenty of time for OSU to get a shot off. It was just messed up, man. Messed up.
The game was called pretty fairly. We shot the same number of free throws as they did. Personal foul numbers were practically even.Didn’t say it was. It’s just funny to see a guy cutting to the rim, getting ran into, and getting called for an offensive foul. Two guys ran jnto each other, a decent way away from the ball and Banks gets called for a foul. It was pretty clear that he wasn’t trying to set a screen.
But there was plenty of time to pass out of it. It was just an awful decision by a kid who's hardly played all year.I thought too actually.
That last play was messed up. I was thinking Koch for the final shot but he broke too early (and then had to stop and restart killing his flow and timing) from the far corner to what I assume was to be a shot in the the near coffin corner but he didn’t make it in time. He got caught in no man’s land between the 3 point line and basket near the baseline.
We were left with a broken play with Hausen with his momentum going away from the basket in between the wing and corner.
What's he shot, seven FTs all season? I have no idea how many, but going to the line down three with a few seconds left is a challenge for anyone, let alone a kid who's hardly seen the floor all year. That percentage, given the tiny sample size and the circumstances, means nothing. I would wager there's no way he would've hit all three FTs, but we'll never know, mostly because he wasn't fouled . . .81.8% I'd take that.
Jiark is gonna make Boozer his beeeotchThat's how it went far too often under Tom Davis. It seemed Iowa ALWAYS drew Duke in the second round . . . Of course, there are only 63 other teams, so it's tough to avoid an Iowa-Duke matchup.

All things considered, it was one of the better officiated games of the year, I'll agree, but there were still some glaring mistakes. The game was called pretty fairly. We shot the same number of free throws as they did. Personal foul numbers were practically even.
Anyway, I’m not saying you do this, but some people on this board complain too much about the calls. Some even claim there is a conspiracy against Iowa.Having played organized sports for years, that is just the stuff of overly passionate fans.
Cheers. And go Hawks!
Hope they don’t play like today in the tourney.
Well said, agreed! Not the worst thing that could happen. We came back to make a game of it so some momentum going into the dance. Us beating MI tomorrow was unlikely so we wouldn’t have played up to the 7 line anyway. Now we can get rested without a grueling and potential beat down game tomorrow.
Damn right!!Hausen doing good things.
You would think so.That's one of those moments you give it to Bennett and no one else, no matter how obvious it is.
Well I have never been to Greenville.#8 seed IOWA

I am not against this thinking. Sure you want to win every game but every bracket I have seen, has us in... We win this game and we move from a 9 to 8 seed? Let's get some rest and enjoy being in the big dance, I would much rather be in the Sweet 16 than the Quarterfinals of the BTT.Best possible outcome. This team desperately needs rest. Stirtz especially.
Post-game BMc said Hausen was pushed and was "crafty" enough to get the shot off.Why in the hell hausen thought our best option was to throw that **** up Ill never know. JFC, his decision making, time and time again, is poor.
Big guys? We have big guys?None of our big guys are particularly good rebounders. Post play has mostly been lacking all season.
I agree on that pointBut there was plenty of time to pass out of it. It was just an awful decision by a kid who's hardly played all year.
Coach said he was pushed. I use his take over yours. LolHausen wasn't fouled, but even if they had called it, what are the odds Hausen, in that situation, makes all three FTs? Plus, there was still plenty of time for OSU to get a shot off. It was just messed up, man. Messed up.
Eh, we will probably slow start even if we had won the BTT...The best part about having roughly a week off will be the inevitable slow start can be blamed on rust by the announcers. So we've got that going for us, which is nice.
1991That's how it went far too often under Tom Davis. It seemed Iowa ALWAYS drew Duke in the second round . . . Of course, there are only 60-some other teams, so it's tough to avoid an Iowa-Duke matchup.
Well, it happened twice. '91 and '92. '92 Iowa as a 9 seed, it was a 2/7 game in '91. I don't care to make it a 3rd time this year, thank you. That's how it went far too often under Tom Davis.
