To be fair, it was entirely the fans that placed the expectations on Hausen's potential.

Again, sometimes I see these guys and think about their individual talent and size and athleticism (relative to the B10 teams) and I believe it’s a miracle they won 21 games and 11 conf games including tourney. They battle and scheme their way to some good stretches and good play but just not talented enough to sustain it.
I always know which threads to look for when looking for Iowa losses, causes there'll be at least a couple of your posts in them.

Not the worst thing that could happen. We came back to make a game of it so some momentum going into the dance. Us beating MI tomorrow was unlikely so we wouldn’t have played up to the 7 line anyway. Now we can get rested without a grueling and potential beat down game tomorrow.

Ben & his staff recruited Hausen & signed him. The blame starts with them.
Sage was more open when he was bringing the ball up. Might have been better to just play it out, instead of calling timeout and let OSU get their defense set.
Much rather have Sage pulling up for 3 than whatever the F that was
