Yea I agree but also think Oweh set this table a long time ago. Collin isn’t getting involved so, well, he’s not evolving. I just think we were doomed the day Pope didn’t rein Oweh in and he took issue with Aberdeen being offered. Apparently, allegedly,………Oweh didn’t know he was going to be offered. My opinion, since that day, this wasn’t going to work. Add in MO D who’s a very low IQ player (on the court) who also thinks like Oweh, it was doomed. So after all of that yes we need his 20. But I don’t think it should have ever come to this I guess is my point.

I think the opposite. He should get a bonus for stating the obvious. Good for him on calling out the guys who have helped tank this team with selfish behavior. Sadly a coach with a spine would of solved this in November.
Yea this is just over the top. I get that way too, but you’ll never kill Kentucky because of the aura of this place. Great coaches want it, they want the recognition and the history. And they LOVE coming to a place like this when they get to follow a guy like Mark Pope. Makes it far easier.
Probably not but he doesn't need us. Someone else will pluck him and coach him up or he'll go back overseas.
Kentucky has sucked for numerous years. Pope is just the latest in a long list of ******** coaches. Pope, Calipari, Gillespie, Smith. Honestly, the only true great coaches at Kentucky, were Rupp and Pitino.
I know 2 boosters. I know 1 really well who’s not craft level but he’s not too far off, just a tier or 2 down. I know another decently and he’s not far either. Neither are craft, but they are very important. I would never say their names because both are great guys and it’s not my place to do that. The one I talk to quite a bit and he never wanted Pope, said boosters didn’t want it but Mitch got his way this time. You can thank Capiluto. IMO
Without two of those coaches we are at 6 championships. Cal was at the top of the game one point in time. He was hot. He was legendary in his early UK days. Tubby won with Pitinos guys sure but he still won.

Yeah, I kind of agree, but, Calipari pissed so many opportunities away. We have 8 titles. Rupp won four of them. No other coach has won more than 1. Probably why it’s named Rupp Arena.
Are boosters people who give money because they want to see a team win games? Championships? Or people that invest money to get a return? Like rich folks using universities for money laundering? I’m only asking so don’t attack me saying how much these Richies love UK.
Everyone is unique as far as why they give. Some will give because they want facilities named after them. Some give just because they want to win. Generally, there isn’t much ROI on giving to the athletic department, outside of something under the table and dirty. It’s just, “I’m a billionaire and want UK basketball to be great, so here’s a large investment into a construction project for the men and women’s team.” That’s why it’s also not preferred to keep going back to the well for these folks from standpoint of the athletic department. 1.) Some of these folks are getting old. 2.) They may lose interest for various reasons I.e. team performance or hostility with a coach. This was part of the incentive for the JMI contract.

Let's stay away from any former players for awhile. Creates WAY too many problems. It would be almost unanimous that Pope should be let go if he wasn't a former player. I would prefer to stay away from that unnecessary loyalty in the future.

I wasn’t 100% serious about Goose being the next head coach. I do think he knows more about basketball than most. He’s my all time favorite player, and one one of the nicest humans on earth.

Truth is still truth no matter where it comes from. If the janitor has a good idea, you don't discredit it just because he's the janitor....at least good leaders and companies don't.
