In SEC play. Best shooter in the country numbers right there.
I think our path to success in March involves the 3 guards staying hot. Aberdeen, Oweh, Chandler have to lead the way.
Giard play has ALWAYS been the path to success in the tournament.I think our path to success in March involves the 3 guards staying hot. Aberdeen, Oweh, Chandler have to lead the way.
It absolutely doesI think our path to success in March involves the 3 guards staying hot. Aberdeen, Oweh, Chandler have to lead the way.
I also want to see basketballs be thrown at full speed into the opposing teams players. All time great Kentucky play. Simple but meaningful. Jorts brought some of the best memories during that 15 year ride.Agreed, but EVERYONE must step up and give max effort for 40 minutes every game. If we are going to do anything at all this March, we need a total team effort every game the likes of which we have rarely seen this year.
We are talented enough. The effort must be there. I want Josh Harrelson against OSU type performances from every damn player from here on out. I’m not talking about the numbers, I’m talking about the effort and the “refuse to lose” attitude.
Absolutely. Great guard play will have to carry us. We need a solid combined stat line from Jelavic and Dioubate. Moreno is reliably good but not a game changer. Just can't have Garrison, Noah, or Jasper come in and tank us for 4 minute stretches. I don't expect to get Kam back or if we do only for very short stints, but if he can give us another option for games where Jasper or Noah are off, all the better.I think our path to success in March involves the 3 guards staying hot. Get 14 from Mo and jelavic and I will take that all day. Get 8-10 from Moreno and you will have 24 points from your bigs. That should be enough to be successful.Absolutely. He is a great kid. I think he stays here. He followed Pope here and Pope has stuck with him getting his minutes when half the fanbase wanted him gone. Now he is set to be the star of next years team. They will have to increase his money but he will stayI can’t wait for his season next year. He is such a great young man. I can definitely see an all sec Richie Saunders type of year.
This is the real reason we laughed at that comparison.Pretty sure I compared him to James Young and got laughed at for it. He is shooting waaayyyy better than James Young!!! Heck… overall, he might be better than James Young.
True.. he brought his fiance with him from Utah for a reason and got married here. If he was going to leave, it would have been last year when she was still in Utah. He will cost a pretty penny but I believe Pope will pay it.He is a great kid. I think he stays here. What did James Young do so great that Chandler ain’t doing? This is the real reason we laughed at that comparison.
Totally agree. Now MM, thats a tricky one. He may enter the draftTrue.. he brought his fiance with him from Utah for a reason and got married here. If he was going to leave, it would have been last year when she was still in Utah. He will cost a pretty penny but I believe Pope will pay it.
He might. I think though that he does an Oweh and test the waters. I see him coming back though so he can be a lottery pick.Totally agree. Now MM, thats a tricky one. He may enter the draft
I don’t see it he’s projected early 2nd round. He must bulk up and develop mid range shot. 2027 mock he’s late 1stTotally agree. Now MM, thats a tricky one. He may enter the draft
I firmly believe he was drafted in the NBA because he was a Cal kid and a highly ranked high school recruit. He should have never left to the NBA and turned out being a complete bust picked by my Celtics. This is the real reason we laughed at that comparison.
That sure was a good mid range shot at LSUI don’t see it he’s projected early 2nd round. Hes must bulk up and develop mid range shot
Don’t disagree lol I’m referring to consistencyThat sure was a good mid range shot at LSU
I think that is one thing he will develop next year. That mid range shot from the free throw line down will be huge for him next year. So many times during zoom action he has the ball and is wide open after he doesn’t pass the ball to the cutter. I would like to see Moreno take that middle. That sure was a good mid range shot at LSU
This! Man, it just sucks we have so many guys down with injuries. I don’t think this roster was as terribly constructed as many people think.Agreed, but EVERYONE must step up and give max effort for 40 minutes every game. Young chocked when it mattered. I'll never forget his little autograph session in Dry Ridge, KY. Hardly a soul there. He thought he was going to make bank off UK fans. This is the real reason we laughed at that comparison.
Totally agree. I don’t think it’s as bad as others make it either. Just replace BG, Noah, and Jasper with Kam, Lowe, and JQ. Night and day difference. That’s an elite 8 maybe final four type of team. We would have beaten Georgia and Auburn with that sub pattern and could have maybe ended with a 3 or 4 seed. This! Man, it just sucks we have so many guys down with injuries. I don’t think this roster was as terribly constructed as many people think.
Would be nice to have Lowe, who is always a threat to get to the bucket anytime he wants. Plus, it’s another ball handler, which we could really use. Then, Kam, with his defense and 3 point shooting, who was also starting to get comfortable putting the ball on the floor and driving. Then, of course, JQ. We would’ve been our muscle and defensive post presence. Plus, he would be taking Garrison’s minutes. Just sucks, man.
Guys have to hit shots. It’s really that simple at times.
Jelavic hit his early looks. That dude has to be shooting better at some point.
Totally agree, Pope should be playing him inside the arc where he's shooting about 67%, Pope continues to play him out there so he's gonna need to knock those down at a higher clip.Guys have to hit shots. It’s really that simple at times.

I don’t think anyone thinks he’s our number one or two next season. What he is is our shooter that creates space by being on the floor and helps the scorers that we’ll presumably have next season. He a really good shooter , a great athlete , and pressure doesnt hurt his game. He does some stupid **** and not the grestest defender but along with Oweh and DA2 hes in our current top 3.
If he's the teams star next year then were not a very good team. I like Chandler but imo hes a Robin not a batman.
You misunderstand. What did James Young do so great that Chandler ain’t doing?
Agree with all of this.I firmly believe he was drafted in the NBA because he was a Cal kid and a highly ranked high school recruit. He should have never left to the NBA and turned out being a complete bust picked by my Celtics.
