This is the correct answer . . . . .
Recruiting isn’t his problem. He is just not a good X’s and O’s guy.
How do you know how they practice? I haven't watched the girls team play since Vic left, so I have no idea what type of coach he is.I like Purcell, I don't think it's so much his x and o's but more of him being too soft and nice. I think the players like him but he is more of not getting on them. How you practice leads to how you play; I know this from my coaching days.
No he’s good at both. His problem is his roster has gotten plundered after each season and has to rebuild with undervalued players because of a lack of fundingRecruiting isn’t his problem. He is just not a good X’s and O’s guy.
Not true. He lost Okot and that's it. Anyone else that left was basically encouraged to leave. We aren't very athletic or physical & play little to no defense, and turn the ball over. We've looked the same just about every year he's been here. He's a mediocre coach. No he’s good at both. His problem is his roster has gotten plundered after each season and has to rebuild with undervalued players because of a lack of funding
I think most of us should know this from life but unfortunately many don’t.I like Purcell, I don't think it's so much his x and o's but more of him being too soft and nice. I think the players like him but he is more of not getting on them. How you practice leads to how you play; I know this from my coaching days.
Purcell can keep his job forever as long as we are competitive.
I call this season being competitive. I think he would get a look if have a 2-14 SEC season. I want us to win in women's basketball but I'm sure not punching a wall with a loss. We're definitely not competitive with the best teams. They have mostly destroyed us this year.
And I bet they are pouring money into it to be competitive. We're definitely not competitive with the best teams. They have mostly destroyed us this year.
There are schools where women’s basketball is important to the alumni. It just isn’t to ours. There might have been a thread or two about how much we spend on baseball compared to other schools. If I remember correct one of those was the last word on the matter so I’m sure it won’t come up again. And I bet they are pouring money into it to be competitive.
