It implemented a cap of 20.5 million that can come from the school, that includes collective money which is just a pool of money the school was distributing. Third party NIL deals do not count against this cap.

I can believe that because even tho Pope is a UK guy and won a championship here he isn’t a UK guy like Stein. I do believe Stein is about to have support even more than Mark Stoops could dream of. Hopefully he does some good things with the support.Footballprogram will get more money than the basketball

You let Stokes go to Kansas then let Cyril transfer over to rough him up a little lol. I really wanted Stokes but at this point I’m tired of UK being a cuck. The difference is expectations of the hire. When you look at ky football we are not a powerhouse so you want to take a chance on a homerun hire. Someone that has not really proven himself as a head coach but has ton of upside because his success as a coordinator at the highest levels. This works for uk but not Alabama football. Alabama football expects a coach with multiple years head coaching experience with a track record of success everywhere he has been.
You see UK basketball is supposed to be equal to Alabama football. We should be getting a Memphis Cal hire not a mid tier coach that knows our AD. I guy we hoped could learn on the job that would be propped up by the UK brand. It was a bad decision from the ad level.

I will never agree to paying millions to get players. Cal started all this pay for likeness. It has never been about likeness, its about the money and agents. I will watch the product we put on the floor and remember the days they played for the name on the front of the jersey. Those days are gone forever and the days of spoiled brats has arrived.
