A great Hawkeye win and some Idiots still whining about Emely!
My comment had nothing to do with the game bonehead. Great game. Just an observation on the after game reaction. If you don't like it, go take a hike.

Not true. I just watched the end and Kylie went down the line and Emely was waiting on her and as Kylie went to her the camera changed positions and when it cam back to them they had just separated. It didn't show the exact hug, but Kylie sure as heck didn't avoid her, so let's put that to rest.
This. Emely is very much treated as a member of the team by the other players. To think that they would freeze her out is crazy thought.
Spraying water on Jan? That relationship must be worse than you guys thought.

Kylie and Emely also celebrated on her 3rd quarter bank shot.. nothing crazy but they both went towards each other.

A little hard when I live 9 hours away. I was watching the coverage which probably was better than sitting in the stadoum.
Not judging by this statement: 'Interesting dynamic after the game today. Kylie was hugging everyone but went out of her way to avoid Emely. Didn't see anybody hug her. Thought she might return but she's not a part of this team.'
You don't have to sit in Carver to watch what is going on. Sometimes cameras hone in on things you'd never see in person. Rewatched again this AM. You have your opinion and I have mine, I'll leave it at that.
Immediately after the game out on the court it did look like Kylie turned to someone else while Emely was standing there, so maybe that was what you were referring to, but even at that I don't think Kylie went out of her way to avoid her.
The way things are looking seem like Emely will be in a Hawkeye Uniform next year. She seems very happy and there doesn't seem to be a disconnect. I believe Emely wasn't used to being in a family like environment at UCF and now she realizes that she's apart of one. You can see it with the way she celebrates on the bench and always has a smile on her face. She probably pound for pound the most talent person on this team and would be a big time keep for Iowa.
I already shared this with another board . I was once told by a very wise man "Don't get upset about something until there's something to be upset about".
FWIW, I know nothing about her future plans with the team, but I did notice her really seeming to enjoy the big win yesterday. If one has already "checked out" for the future, she is doing an excellent job of concealing that while on the bench during games.
But, you do have to sit in CHA if you want to see everything, and you cannot see everything by watching the game on tv. The thing I miss most is not being in CHA anymore, so TV is the next best thing.
Emely was also in the hand shake line yesterday. I have no idea who will stay or leave next year, but until Emely or anyone else says they are leaving, they are on the Iowa Hawkeye Women's BB team.
Emelyās sidleline demeanor does not seem like someone who has checked out. Maybe itās possible she is planning on transferring and Jan made a deal to help her with a destination as long as she didnāt cause any locker room distractions? But I think itās just as possible that she just ends up sticking around. Nothing would really surprise me at this point though.

I have no idea whatās going on with Emely.
I couldn't find it in this thread, but someone mentioned that if Emely enters the portal, she won't have much recent good game film to show. That would limit her options to midmajors at best. I played trumpet in a big band that I helped start in 2009. I was the best trumpet player, playing the (not very high) screaming parts of first chair and taking the solos usually reserved for second chair.
Then better players came along, and I slowly migrated down to fourth chair in what became a much better band. In theory, I could join a weaker band and be the best player again, or stick with the great band and play fourth trumpet. I was certainly not expecting to leave my band and get a good position in another great band unless I worked my *** off to get better.
That's kinda Emely's situation. Leave to a lesser program, stay as a bench player, or work her *** off to earn playing time by minimizing her weakness.
Does she have a fire in her belly?
