5-2 Blaze.
6-4 Blaze now
Blaze wins 7-2. Blaze had a TD in 1st but Calendo was given 5 second reaction time so no TD given. Blaze was the better wrestle today.
Corey ask me about whether a few select Iowa kids have gotten better. They have 2, 2-time finalists who are in danger of not making the finals in their last year. Can somebody please get TnT signed to a 10 year extension.

Nobody knows what an actual takedown is anymore
We do, p h u c k I n g officials seem to be confused though.

I bet a couple years ago when they changed reaction time in response to the behind standing hand touch nobody thought giving the refs a little subjectivity with reaction time would morph into a huge collective horsepuky mess so quickly.
The ridiculousness of the reaction time calls of late is causing me to want Angel to ref more often.

If Mitchell has a threat, it's Blaze, not Caliendo
Mitchell needs to be a little more selective in his shots against Blaze and scramblers like him as Blaze is very good at scrambling when his opponent is in on his legs. Even if Blaze doesn't win any of the scrambles he can burn a lot of time getting stalemates. The more time Mitchell has on his feet the better. Look at his NCAA Finals match against Carr. Mitchell gave up an easy TD three seconds into the match and was subsequently ridden for 1:42. Mitchell also gave up a TD near the end of the 2nd period. Mitchell thinking the match was tied in the third period is what many remember, but Carr's two TD's and over two minutes of riding time advantage is what won him that match.

Let's put a temporary hold on the comparisons between Joey and Carr. Also, if Caliendo gets that takedown in the first it's an entire different match

I think Mitchell’s lack of understanding the score won Carr that match. Carr was done and barely hanging on at the end. It’s a shame Mitch lost that match. In my view, he was the better wrestler that day and wore David out. David had a face covered in snot to prove the tank was dry at the end.

We won’t be able to get him anyway. The Iowa board is planning on Blaze to replace Caliendo next year.
For a half a million and a conditioning bump. Why not? For the most part those guys generally survive that first year.
