Survey evidence bears this out. Data from LendingTree show that Valentine’s Day spending is highest where relationship uncertainty is greatest. Couples together for less than two years report planned spending of roughly $369, compared with about $207 among those together for two to five years, $187 among those together five to 10 years, and just $118 among couples together more than a decade. As relationships accumulate history—shared routines, mutual investments, reputational collateral—the need for dramatic, deadline-driven proof declines. Valentine’s Day doesn’t disappear, but its function changes. What begins as verification becomes ceremony.
My disclosure- 33 years married, and two nice bottles of wine gifted. How long have you been married or in a relationship and what did you gift ?
Trying to post a gifted link to the article, and I hope you can open it. But you get the gist.

Congrats on your long marriage. Other than wife #5, none of my previous ones lasted more than four years.

Did you give two bottles of wine as gifts, did you receive them, or did you mutually exchange bottles of wine?🍷 🤷‍♀️
