Trump makes Truth Social post depicting Obamas as monkeys in jungle.

Your side that you defend does. Obama and Biden supported him as did Pelosi. You supported all of those people that supported Byrd. I dont ever recall a leftist here on this board callout Byrd or the party for him being there. I never recalled any leftist here demand he be removed from the Senate...

This is the stuff you say that is flat ridiculous. Just because someone has voted for a member of a particular party, doesn't mean they support all positions, or all the people in a party.

That would be like me saying, that you vote Republican so you supported Richard Nixon and corruption,Watergate etc. You supported the Vietnam War since Eisenhower was a Republican.

Do you see how ridiculous of an argument that is?

I dont think it’s racist you putz. Biden took it down cuz he said it was racist. Go have a cup of cofffee
OK, I'll admit that I have never - not for a second - taken you seriously. You have always been deeply in the tank for Trump, and one of his most ardent cult followers. It shows in every post you submit.

But the one above is perhaps your crowning "achievement" in that regard. I find it hard to conceive of anything more clearly racist than depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. That is simply nondebatable. But you deny even THAT. And you wonder why I occasionally mock you rather than attempting to engage you in serious dialogue..

I'm on the West Coast, so I'm three hours behind most of the posters here. When I got up this morning and accessed this website, the OP in this thread was the first thing I read. As I read the OP, my mind ran through a list of what I thought would be the likely responses from the MAGA white nationalists here. That list included:

1. Denying that Trump submitted the post in question. ("It was a White House staffer or some random hacker!")
2. Asserting that Trump had not fully viewed the video in question before reposting it with his approval.
3. Asserting that Trump was "only joking."
4. Defiantly taking ownership of it and calling anyone who objects to it a "snowflake," a "pu$$y," a"beta," a "limp wrister," etc.
5. Engaging in whataboutism. Or at least attempting to, and trying to claim that "It's OK, because everyone does it."

I have not gone very far in this thread, but I look forward to a morning of amusement as I go through the Trump Cultist posts in this thread.

I never anticipated the defense that Karoline Leavitt came up with. ("It's just a riff on The Lion King! Trump is the King of the Jungle and the Obama's are simply denizens of that same jungle!") Yeah, it just so happens that they were depicted as monkeys. Purely accidental, that.

But you took the prize with your flat assertion that you don't think it's racist. Next, you'll be telling us that water is not wet. Well done, Trump Cultist.

And BTW, try answering the following three questions:

1. If Trump's repost of this "Obamas as monkeys" video is not racist and offensive, why did the White House quickly pull it off of Truth Social?

2. How do you think that repost is gonna be regarded by African Americans? Rhetorical question, Farley. Trump and his huge mouth are more effective at driving voters toward Team Blue than many millions of DNC funded campaign ads.

3. Does it not bother you even a little that your Cult leader is spending the wee hours of many nights posting a hailstorm of incendiary rants like this one? You'd think a guy who will soon be an octogenarian would be better off trying to get some sleep. After all, he has a pretty important day job.

I appreciate you at least calling out how inappropriate this is.

I agree with you as far as the Nazi, pedo stuff as far as insults. It makes me think less of the point if they result to insults, myself included.

I would point out that it isn't exactly an equal thing in my mind,I think that it's fair to hold the President of the US to a higher standard of discourse.

Calling Trump a Nazi isn't an insult ... it's a reflection of what he's actually doing.

You can claim it's hyperbolic, but I don't think it is. Everyone freaks out because of the Holocaust aspect of Nazism ... but Nazism was also very bad for other reasons, and not wanting to exterminate the Jews doesn't mean he can't be a Nazi. We wouldn't be regaling the Nazis if they just were nice to Jews.

I think Trump is unquestionably fascist, so the only issue is whether or not he's accurately portrayed as a Nazi, or some other iteration of fascism.

And, well, the guy is unquestionably a sexual predator ... so if folks want to stand on the hill that "hey, he may be a sexual predator, but he's not a pedo! That's an insult!" ... well, that's up to them. But there is definitely enough smoke there re underage girls, Trump's attraction and inappropriate behavior toward them, and him acting on those perversions, that it's definitely not a baseless, inflammatory insult to suggest he is a pedo.

You mean Ms “all this for a damn flag”? She IS a racist. Wild how she carries on considering their status.
1. More whataboutism. Awesome. No surer sign of Trump Cultism.
2. The reference to Michelle Obama (apparently) saying "All this for a damn flag?" suggests that she was referencing the kneeling for the National Anthem/flag controversy that started with Colin Kaepernick. I've seen Trump Cultists label such kneeling as "stupid," "disrespectful," and even "traitorous," but never as being "racist." How would kneeling be "racist?" Who knew?!! LOL.

Michelle Obama said she is intentional about supporting designers of color - that’s not racist in the least bit. She didn’t say to boycott white designers.

The two situations are incomparable and if you could be honest with yourself - because I trust you’re not so dumb as to truly believe your claims - you’d simply admit that Trump’s post was reprehensible and falls well short of the standard the president should set.
I fully agree with your post, above, Except for the part where you say that you trust Fatpiggy is not so dumb as to truly believe the crapola that he comes out with here. Incorrect. He's definitely that dumb. And credulous.

Why can’t you simply say Trump was wrong and, by doing so, promoted racist tropes?

The president should be held to the highest standard. He’s a gross human being.
Being native I have no issues with a statue of a Italian/Spanish dude. Why are you being racist against dark-skin European's? Its not as if the dude was a Viking or some pasty white guy that looked like a human jar of mayonnaise. Dude was no ginger. Also spare us that POTUS should be held to the highest standard bs, you guys supported Biden so let that sink in. The only standard you had for him was he needed a pulse...

I think Trump was wrong to post the video.

I think Michelle Obama is a bigger racist than Trump.

I think this is more faux outrage from the left.

If they really cared about racism, Boone would have started a thread with Michelle’s comments last week. They would have posted about the ICE agents getting called the hard R by lefty protesters. They would call out black people for using the word nigga. But crickets.
Yep shows their outrage is just fake and performative like always. These are not honest people and are very evil. Its shameful they try to call themselves Americans and the worst days in American history a leftist was behind it...

Trump shouldn't have posted it. It was bad judgement. He likes to joke around a lot and sometimes you miss and he missed on that one.

Like someone pointed out, Obama attempted a coup on his previous presidency and so I think Trump lost all feels for Obama. He flat out hates him and just does not care. That is great and all, and I love the ribbing he occasionally gives Obama, but he still shouldn't have posted the video.

You will go to any lengths necessary to avoid saying something bad about Trump. My god man. Get a grasp of reality dude. Trump doesn’t care about you, and you’re digging yourself so deep into a hole with a disgusting scumbag who will toss you aside at the first sign of adversity.

Trump supporters really are disgusting subhuman filth
Says the side thats racist and supports pedo's, child killing and child mutilation. Just like your Nazi hero's from 90 years ago. Also why you love Ukraine so much. You love throwing support behind Nazi causes and then claim but Trump...

I just think perhaps you should give a community who had explicitly racist laws against them removed only 60 years ago a little more time before you make blanket statements about their culture.
I’m not arguing that at all. What I’m saying is every single person that’s not a boomer wasn’t even born when this was going on. They cannot relate to that. A perfect example of this was the Fuentes interview with Piers. He was making jokes about the holocaust and Piers was just astonished that he would talk like that on a huge national program. But NF has no connection, he’s way younger. Another much more off topic - I took my kids to the 9/11 museum in NYC, they weren’t born when that happened and they have nowhere near the feelings or emotions I have for that. That’s what I’m saying. Most people have moved on because they it didn’t impact anyone they know or relate to, black or white, they’re trying to live their life and do the best they can. I don’t know a single person that wasn’t allowed to drink out of a water fountain or do what I do. They don’t wanna hear about stuff from the 1950’s. Jmo.

are Michelle Obamas comments racist?

I posted Trump shouldn’t have made the post. Any lefties want to offer up that Michelle is an avowed racist? Her comments were much more racist than Trumps joke. She was dead serious.

Maybe @ClemsonCO14 will come out and say her comments were wrong?

Still scouring headlines trying to g to find out what’s gonna move this market and what trades to make.

I think the market is oversold. Looking for a snap back rally early next week.

I think CPI comes in lower than expected (again), I think the AI sell off subsides. (Oil prices need to stay low to keep inflation down, might buy some cheap oil calls as a market hedge)

I like long NVDA going into earnings late February. I like buying Vix put ratios.

Last year we sold off early in the year and then proceeded to rally into the end of the year. I think we will follow the same pattern.
Consolidation before next push?

@fatpiggy has me blocked, but how in the world do you or MAGA think this video is in anyway racist? A minority black woman says that if she see's another minority black owned fashion brand, she makes it a point to buy from that brand. "If you have money for Chanel, you have money for everyone" is simply saying, if you can buy high fashion, you can buy from minority owned brands too as a person of color.

That's the big racist gotcha? I'm sincerely confused how that could be construed as racist at all.

IIf a white person said the same would it be racist? If the answer is yes then you are a racist...

"And yet, Robert Byrd evolved; he changed for the good. He apologized for his intolerant past and declared that he had been wrong.

Byrd displayed a mix of conservative and liberal points of view in his later years. Remarkably, though, he came out on the right side of issues that are of concern to black voters.

Byrd enjoyed a perfect 100 percent rating from the NAACP. And he proposed $10 million to fund a Martin Luther King National Memorial in Washington, D.C."

Just shows you how fake it all really is and how gullible people really are. A Grand Wizard Pooba of the KKK can get a perfect rating from the NAACP... Thats like Hitler getting a perfect rating from Jews in 1948 lmao....

I was trying to catch a sell off going into the weekend but the market doesn't seem to be having it.

I think we keep marching higher but their will be hiccups. General trend higher. I think NVDA earnings are going to be good and that will drive the market.

A few of these tech companies reported pretty good earnings but they sold off hard just because there is worry how much they are investing in AI. Fundamentals still strong right now but obviously a lot of political and geopolitical uncertainty to navigate.

It was poor judgement on Trumps part.

Will take this into consideration on his mental acuity going forward. No where near Biden, but this was something he should not have posted and probably should not have passed even his filter. He should strive to do better.
I lambasted you for your first post in this thread but, by the same token, l have to give you some credit for this ^^^^ post. No one is saying that Donald Trump (or Republicans in general) has a monopoly on racist statements or opinions. Far from it. It would have been far simpler, and more effective, it you had simply led with a post like this one.

In that case they would have voted for Hillary. Why did they vote for Biden?

What are you trying to say here? WHO would have voted for Hillary? MAGA?!?

We're talking about the future MAGAts. The ones who were perfectly fine with neocon Republicanism until an uppity black man got up there and talked down to them (in their view). Then they lost their ****, needed to feel empowered after being emasculated like that by a ... wait for it ... a black man (shudders) ... and so, in the face of a series of neocon candidates, they embraced the playground bully, who made them feel big and strong and protected (like when they were 12 and called Joey a doodoohead and everyone laughed at poor Joey) ... and who had been standing up to the black man by calling him a Kenyan, before he wiped the floor with the "establishment" Republican candidates who had let themselves be cucked by the black man.

the exercise whereby dipshit MAGAs try to perform a gotcha maneuver by insisting that racist randos balance out the notion of the leader of the free world being overtly racist is just so damn cringe. if you're so stupid that you can't understand the difference between the POTUS doing things and the third shift fry cook at McDonalds doing things, then please just refrain from voting and reproducing.

it's hilarious how many of us were raised with the notion to "respect the office" regardless of its occupant, but i guess that was all for naught since POTUS/leader of the free world/most powerful person on the planet carries no more weight with his actions than anyone else.
