The video he posted had nothing to do with any king of the jungle ********. It's literally a video from a conspiracy theorist talking about how election machines were rigged in the 2020 election in swing states that Biden won. Had nothing to do AT ALL with any kind of king of the jungle motif.

Let's be clear about what he posted last night. Lying about it after the fact doesn't excuse the situation or make things more palatable.

Nobody was alive today that was a slave. I think there are only a couple of people still living whose parent was a slave. Very few have grandparents that were slaves.

I've been very clear that I believe it's important to educate people about the evils of racism just like it's important to educate people about the atrocities against Jews. The first civil rights bill was in 1866. Johnson/Kennedy civil rights legislation was in 1964. There's been a lot of subsequent legislation like affirmative action, HBCU funding, and opportunity zones and that's OK. But I think we need to move forward. Education is one thing but making every other thing about race all these years later it too much. We shouldn't be teaching today's people that they're victims and that white people are oppressors. The country will never come together when half of it's citizens are having stuff shoved in the face.

Maybe you're good with schools teaching your kids that they're oppressors or that they're part of a systemically racist society. Maybe you'd also like to pay an additional $10k per year in taxes that can be redistributed to black people. Sorry but I'm not in that camp.

The entire MAGAt movement, and the rise of the troll-candidate, Donald Trump, was spurred on by a group of racists who were angry a black man was in power and, they felt, talking down to the them. Hence, birtherism.

It's a function of history, Jim Crow, lack of educational and financial opportunities, etc.

For many generations Black owned businesses couldn't access bank financing, couldn't move their business to white neighborhoods etc.

Not saying this is your problem, and frankly what you are saying as far as buying the products that are well made is great.

Just saying that her wanting to support Black owned businesses when she is able is a way to give opportunities that were denied for a long,long time.

It's not a function of current racism, but rather a function of historical racism that held the black community back for centuries. It takes a long time to rebound as a community and flourish when you were oppressed for generations on generations.

The number of black owned business is rising though, which is a good sign!

Sure it is. But if Apple or Amazon were founded by a black person we’d all still be using IPhones and Prime. And how long does this last. Is this something that is just here forever. You understand how someone like me thinks this is a ridiculous position? It’s hard for me to understand how this is the issue and perhaps not the current culture. I know a lot of people from horrible situations that have done very very very well. With almost pure willpower in many cases, not all. I’d also be curious to hear black people talk about this, get their perspective. I know some of my friends don’t think like you.

What's your point? There are government grants and other assistance for minority owned businesses. Tell us what racists laws exist that need to be reversed.

100%. I posted a video yesterday of black people responding to the insinuation that they can’t get ID to vote. You should watch it. I think you’ll find sometimes other views are getting imposed on people. I seem to remember a politician in NY that made a comment that they couldn’t operate computers. It’s kinda wild. I just think perhaps you should give a community who had explicitly racist laws against them removed only 60 years ago a little more time before you make blanket statements about their culture.

Will take this into consideration on his mental acuity going forward. No where near Biden, but this was something he should not have posted and probably should not have passed even his filter. He should strive to do better.

I dont feel sorry for them, he is behind the coup attempt against Trump and has escalated racial tensions to a level not seen since conservative Dems and Reps passed the civil rights act. Obama ordered the murder of US citizens directly. They were targeted with intent not an oops friendly fire attack.
