HS signing day really isn't like it used to be and really there is not a huge need for it like in the past.Only person I know that signed was the DT. I have no idea who other names or positions are
now do average rank by recruit.View attachment 1177485
They are still counting QB Tanner Vibabul as a commit, he bailed for JMU, so only 11 total.
He's doing just enough so they can't fire him for cause. What a joke. Our coach is just biding his time till he gets fired and paid. Results speak volumes. Our AD should be investigated for fraud
Yep!Good...HS kids are a waste of time unless they are elite. Spend d that money on the portal
The CB and DT were the only players of need from this class for next year.
Makes it a great class to me.
Doesn’t fit the narrativenow do average rank by recruit.
Doesn’t fit the narrative
You knowWhat’s the narrative?
You know
Well, I could be wrong, but I believe it was an old old wooden ship used in the Civil War era. What’s the narrative?
Are there any reasons why this is a small class? And it’s a low ranked class because it’s so small not because they’re not good prospects. No, I clearly don’t. It’s an unusually small class. It’s an unusually low ranked class. Those are facts, not narratives. Perhaps you have a tendency to confuse the two?

I think the players brought in through both avenues are good looking prospects that fill needs. Younger team means fewer recruits. I guess you feel differently?Of course there are reasons. What those reasons are seems to be the question. Especially when we were told that money isn’t the issue. Generally speaking, when you’re talking about one high school and one transfer class in a given year, when one is small/weak, you hope that it’s offset by by one that’s big and strong. Pretty straight forward stuff here. It ain’t rocket science.

Rhule signing fewer high schoolers than Deion in a given year probably wasn’t on many bingo cards12 - lowest in Power 4

One day closer to the ‘28 season!
I get it. Just stated that for how different it is now. Although 12 Hs recruits and being the least in the power 4. Head scratcher. He should sign as many as he can and hire an actual talent evaluator to watch them practice and create the depth chart. His evaluations suckHS signing day really isn't like it used to be and really there is not a huge need for it like in the past.
I would rather get a 21 year old guy that has had 2-3 years in a college program, lifting, school, eating, meetings and so on...
Sure it isNo, the #37 transfer class and the #84 recruiting class combined to make up the #70 overall class is not good enough. Not even close. And anyone being even remotely objective knows this. It’s not even a matter of opinion.
I would imagine it matters a lot of what you already have on the roster. Nebraska brought in 27 new players, some will fill holes, some will compete for playing time and some will hopefully be developed. Outside of Raiola and Davis, the remainder of the 17 players that left were either not playing regularly because of talent or they were injured. No, the #37 transfer class and the #84 recruiting class combined to make up the #70 overall class is not good enough. I could not agree more on all of that!I get it. Just stated that for how different it is now. Although 12 Hs recruits and being the least in the power 4. Head scratcher. Small classes equals low ranking. You two can put a bullsh*t spin on anything, can’t you? Number 70 overall class and you’ve actually convinced yourselves that’s a good thing. Wow
Since nobody wanted to answer it, the answer is 34th.now do average rank by recruit.
No one said it was a good thing. It is just the facts. A lot of young players a team is ready to give up on yet. 70th ranked or whatever, 1/3 of the high school class are top 247 players, who will be getting snaps this year. You two can put a bullsh*t spin on anything, can’t you? Number 70 overall class and you’ve actually convinced yourselves that’s a good thing. Wow
That's where I’m at. Show me that the last two O and D line classes are being developed and can play. We have enough dudes. Make it work with what we have now. I think the depth chart of “2-3 deep that you can count on” isn’t probably realistic. Show us that we can field a good O line and not drop off much if you lose A guy. Show us the same for a D line where you can rotate D linemen and not notice much who is in the game. The small class and the rankings are not the real story. The real story is our large number of underclassmen. Can any of them contribute? Are they being developed into B1G grade players? If they are, why do we need the number of portal guys we signed? Has anybody taken a look at the S & C program? Is it producing the results we need? A small class is no big deal if you already have the horses you need in the barn. By year four you should have some real "dudes" coming up to help you win. You should have a depth chart that is 2-3 deep with players you know you can count on. Honestly I do not know how close/far we are from that.
Small classes equals low ranking.
Small minds regurgitate what the masses say.

So much for Rhules comment about having the financials to sign anybody they want. Gonna be along 2 years until he is goneThat's embarrassing. What a pathetic job by Rhule and the entire staff.
It is widely reported that Nebraska was on par with most everyone they went against in the recruitment of players. Verghese stated this several times over the course of the portal period. Other factors contributed to those players going elsewhere. These players don't have to pick Nebraska even if the financial offers were equal. So much for Rhules comment about having the financials to sign anybody they want.
