Temperature on Saturday is only supposed to be in the teens (high of 18), and it will be blustery, so wind chill will probably be around 0.

Will they actually play the game in such conditions?

Exhibit A on why the season needs to move to March and go through the end of June. Screw Memorial Day Weekend, it's obsolete.
agreed this is not a spring sport anymore and what about Army itself and colleges north forget it!!

By the way, WLAX is supposed to host Army on Friday night, when it will be cold with light snow.

Alums/supporters were sent an email confirming the game has been moved inside of the Bubble. They really need to move the start of the season back. It's ridiculous at this point. Playing past MDW should be irrelevant. It's a Spring sport. Play it in the Spring.

And most of the stud teams are in cold-weather areas. Not sure why they went along with starting in January.

It's not like baseball, where the southern warm-weather teams call the shots...

Also I think it's safe to say that the sport has evolved to the point at which the crowds will still be there for a non-MDW weekend. Move on already this is absurd.

It’s really unfair to the players. From the cold but also the crowds. It’s like 100 fans in February vs 3-4K in April and May.
The sport is only hurting itself from a growth standpoint by not evolving to a March-June schedule. Lax NCAA Tourney games in June at night would draw over 5K fans.

We were told they are looking into it but the Bubble is not set up for it so I’m guessing not likely.
I was afraid of that. I would imagine GS has cameras set up in the Bubble so he can film football practices, but perhaps not the space or facilities for the larger cameras that would be required for a full blown TV broadcast.

Play early season games in the South or in domes. Get 10 teams together at each site and play the first 5-6 games in a proper climate. When it warms up in April play on campus.

We may have our own indoor facility at some point. Some wild stuff happening behind the scenes.

The broadcast is going to be guerilla. RU staff is broadcast via facebook live, no announcers. Best we are going to get.

If you ever watch Michigan on Big Ten + they rarely have announcers its the worst

We should have an advantage playing in the bubble. There is some weird lighting and atmosphere inside the bubble that makes it a little disorienting. Our guys are used to it but it will take Army a bit to get acclimated, especially the goalie. If we can get some early looks and put them on cage it’s an opportunity to get out to an early lead.

Well at least the video quality on FB live is free and video quality won’t be too far off from BTN+ (I still think that was the biggest miss in the new media deal to get more professionally produced non revenue sports in regular BTN like the ACCN).

You must not have watched the ESPN+ broadcast of the Jacksonville game. It made BTN look like the Super Bowl.

Why is this on Facebook live rather than RutgersAthletics1869 YouTube channel?
