Am I the only old fart that thought, "Damnit. The type is too small and I can't read the damn thing!"
Guess they should have had a clause in there that he couldn't sign with someone else, but of course they would have to pay him out then.I thought I'd read he had told Utah he was done at the end of the season. Okay, I guess he told the school he was "stepping down with no plans for the future" and then he shows up at Michigan within days.
Exactly right.Just looking at this, I think with the regime change in Michigan, that game @ Ann Arbor is an important game for us, and it's probably the best time to play them. We need to be 3-0 heading into Michigan, and we need to be no worse than 5-2 heading into homecoming game against Wisconsin. If we can do that, we'll still be in the playoff hunt.
The problem is Wash that third week..that is the 3 ranked teams on our schedule in a row.I actually like getting Michigan early even if on the road and NOT getting OSU on the road ever. If they were spread throughout the year would we expect a different potential outcome? If we beat Michigan, I like one hell of a war in Iowa City the following week. Big part of the outcome in the BT will be that first game on the road. Win that and it could be really special!!
You all ready to see Iowa play on January 25, 2027?
Need a night game blackout with Ohio State.November looks easy.
Need to win one of those first three conference games to be in playoff discussion.
I'll believe it when I see it.Or a QB who actually knows the offense and who can throw the ball down the field to some talented receivers will be a great advantage for Iowa.
Campbell might be scary with Penn State talent and portal money.Ya that's some weak sauce. Knowing Campbell, he'll start 5-0, half his D will get injured and they'll finish 7-5.
Wouldn't that be great for an Iowa QB to come out game 1 ready to go? Its been a long time. We'd have been in the playoff, probably 12-1 if MG had been in his end of season groove day 1........Listened to Cory and Mark over at the voice of college football today talk about the schedule. We have to take at least one game during that three game stretch if we want to make the playoffs. If we want Iowa to take it to the next level, we should be embracing that difficulty. A lot of questions going into next season though.
Finding success in the first three games will be critical, meaning we aren't struggling and we're beating the other team in every phase of the game. I think Hecklinski is going to be the guy, Lester seems really jazzed about him. The defensive line is another unit I'll be paying close attention to. We've got a lot of new faces and I'm looking forward to see who Phil thinks is the best guys to put up front. Will Iose get a starting spot?
I believe that 100%! I think we could have made a run too. Not saying we would have won it but it was possible based on results against the top tier teams we played. Never say never.Wouldn't that be great for an Iowa QB to come out game 1 ready to go? Its been a long time. You think ND will be saddened that they will make the playoffs without playing a ranked team? You think they will be chagrined at not embracing that difficulty?Listened to Cory and Mark over at the voice of college football today talk about the schedule. That what makes me wish Mark had one more year with us. He knows the system and he's as healthy as he's been since heading to Iowa City. If we had him this year, I'd be willing to say 11-1 is a real possibility. He looked like a stud at the Shrine Bowl.I believe that 100%! I think we could have made a run too. See: Indiana.
So will only lose 4 in a row instead of 5?Buzz out of Ames is Iowa State will be better than last year.
Game 1 is a patsy, so let's see games 2 and 3 too.Wouldn't that be great for an Iowa QB to come out game 1 ready to go? Its been a long time. We'd have been in the playoff, probably 12-1 if MG had been in his end of season groove day 1........
Cyclone fans are buzzed if they believe that.Buzz out of Ames is Iowa State will be better than last year.
Maybe so, but the buzz out of Ames is probably that joining the Mile High Club refers to climbing up to Denver, Colorado.Buzz out of Ames is Iowa State will be better than last year.
Is Matt Campbell your hero?Buzz out of Ames is Iowa State will be better than last year.
They are gearing up for the Big 12 schedule, but the BIG game on their schedule is Iowa. Nebraska used to be right up there but the Cornhuskers were smart enough to join a stable conference.Game 1 is a patsy, so let's see games 2 and 3 too.
That's odd, you get much better weed in Iowa City. Strange, them being an ag school.Cyclone fans are buzzed if they believe that.
