I think Ben is a great coach and I know the team has been plagued by illness as of late. But what are thoughts on the first three big ten games this year where we go on a scoring drought half the game? It happened vs UCLA too...

We need athletes until then we will continue to flounder. So far it seems we’re reluctant to spend on high value targets. The kid from Washington is a bonafide star in the making. The other forward isn’t ready for prime time the one redshirting this year. Recruiting has to pick up considerably, getting guards has proven to be abysmal for Ben and that needs to change pronto. ISU sure doesn’t have a problem getting high value targets, and I find it difficult to believe they have a bigger piggy bank than Iowa. Just sayin

So Iowa has NO rich alumni that have any interest in sports?
How was this your take away from my response to his comment about doubting ISU has a bigger piggy bank? I don't know who our rich alumni are, if they're sports fans or who among them already donate. All I know is I wish it was more, and I wish basketball had more to operate with.

Against BIG quality defenders we struggle to get open looks, period, no matter how precise and unselfishly we move the ball.
Certainly we are patient with ball but all the cutting and passing does not result in a lay up we can finish or a wide open three pointer for a shooter.
Every game will be a dogfight.
We are limited in size, shooting and athletically.

Pretty simple. It sounded like you were implying ISU has a sugar daddy and Iowa does not. Sounds like you don't really know what Iowa has or doesn't have for rich alumni, though, by your own admission.

Agree with your last sentence, though.

What isn't simple is your game of "gotcha" that you're trying to play for some reason? Like, what are you trying to prove?

Basketball is a game of runs but we seem to go broke for almost an entire half. It happened in 1st half vs minnesota and illinois and 2nd half vs isu and ucla. I know there is a disparity in talent but these droughts are significant and consistent. I also thought Stirtz would be able to prevent a complete breakdown on offense.
