I can't decide if Levi or Josh has improved the most since last year. They both have jumped. Barr looks significantly bigger, leaner and meaner.

I've never tried one either, I get diabetes just looking at that pink box - but, I'm a judgmental prick who conducts metabolic health research for a living. My wife and kids will split one and we'll take the rest to the family Christmas party.
I have. Crumbl cookies are gross.

I've been consuming 100g/hr of carbs when riding my bike for a year now. That level of fuel to the body for hard, sustained efforts makes a dramatic difference in overall output and work performed.
My go-to is a few overbaked sweet potatoes with a bunch of course salt. I used to mash up 4-5 (150-200g carbs) of them, put it in a ziplock and throw it in my saddlebag for longer training rides. IMO better tasting and easier on the stomach than these gels or bars or waffles, etc. with a dozen ingredients which you can barely pronounce. I'll do the same today if we're doing a long hike, but it's a little less messy since I don't have to be concerned about fitting it in a small space and eating without stopping on a bike. As noted, zero nutritional reason for anybody to be eating like that unless they need to keep serum glucose levels up - nonstop - for a long while.

These interviews are great. Love the insight they provide into the personalities of our wrestlers. 😎
It WAS great. The previous episode was with PJ, I just started it. I didn’t know PJ was a multi-time national judo champ.

The interview was as if I was sitting in a dorm room with these guys and they are just sitting around, shooting the breeze about wrestling and other stuff. Which teammate has the biggest appetite, who is the class clown, etc. What do they think about stalling rules, grabbing fingers, shoes, etc. But also stuff that is a little more important.

I definitely understood from the conversation that Levi is a big leader on the team, probably Josh too.

That was a fun watch. All these guys are blessed to have that camaraderie with their teammates. I have watched all of the previous videos and all the wrestlers seem like they are really enjoying their college experience. I have also been impressed with the maturity shown by everyone while also enjoying seeing these young men joking around and enjoying life. Hopefully all of them look back fondly as adults on their college years. I have a feeling that wrestling aside, all of them will be able to look back and see how lucky they were to have sat under the leadership and wisdom of the coaching staff.

This did not embed the way I hoped (ala Twitter).
Awesome! Thanks for this. It would be interesting to see how many of the posters here actually wrestled at the NCAA D1 tournament. That would be a negative for me. The best I did was wrestle at one NJCAA national tournament, going 1-1. It's been all downhill since then : )

The big takeaway from me are the “room” guys that really seem to be the glue for all of this. Kyson with a lot of love from the guys. And lots of hard ribbing as well for Asher.

The second, is how tight the wrestlers are with all of the other wrestlers. Very cool, but it is a small population and these guys have been living it for 16+ years

Third, is that Williams Dad is a monster of a man. If so, he may be the next 285 with a growth spurt if he doesn’t have his moms genetics
Hoping Conner and Marcus are getting a good NIL deal with the Family Clothes Line

Uncle Rico is back!!
This will be interesting. Lovato is one of the top BJJ practitioners on the planet, he also was headed towards being one of the best in MMA before injuries derailed his career. I don't think he had any previous background in wrestling, yet recently was bronze medalist at U.S. freestyle Masters. BJJ and folkstyle wrestling are two different animals (IMO the level of conditioning necessary to wrestle is just different than BJJ) but if there is a dude who is a novice and close to my age who can do this at a high level, it's Lovato.

He'll have the #1 ranked heavyweight in NAIA right away today and then either the #3 or #4 the next round - gonna find out where he's at real quick lol

that's a tough one.

Refs don't interact with wrestlers nearly as much as their coaches do. But refs have to take the same training from SafeSport (which, almost every ref feels is really overkill for the amount of interaction and time we spend with the wrestlers, but I digress).

I've seen a lot of coaches, over the years, with friendly touches (not handshakes) of their wrestlers, before, during (a stoppage), or after matches. It's just their nature, and nobody thinks twice about it. (In general. I've never observed touches in inappropriate areas, or touches that seemed to take too long.) However, when the coach and the wrestler are a different sex, it adds a whole additional dynamic to the situation. Based on the SafeSport training, the male coach should know that touching a female wrestler's bottom is not good, and is almost certain to lead to problems. The touches may really have been nothing, and in that context, I do feel bad for the female wrestlers losing their coach. But this ending was inevitable, if that was the coach's normal behavior.

Congrats on getting lackadaisically correct on your first try. After 6 unsuccessful tries. I just copied and pasted yours. That said.....Kirk seems way too calm, way too collected and way too nice to be as successful as he could be. Then again....If he takes the attitude: You are taking food from my loved ones' mouth.....he could develop the necessary mean streak to destroy all comers. I will cheer for him and his family!! Afterwards you can pray for his opponents' quick recovery :)
I think his dad has an advanced degree in multiple disciplines. It’s a cerebral family. Calmness probably comes naturally. If I had to bet, I’d say that Greg can probably achieve the correct mindset to be about as nasty as needed.

Evading arrest? Reports are, after pulling Mr. Ferrari to the side of the road, the arresting officer was unable to cuff him, as his on one knee defense proved impenetrable. After 7 minutes trying unsuccessfully to circle behind, the officer was gassed, and collapsed

AJ was able to flee the scene, but not before facing the officer one final time, doing the splits while giving the double birds, and proclaiming "your lack of conditioning is an embarrassment to the force. I can squat 600 lbs baby, and can do this s@#t all day. By the way my uncle has a 9" dong! PS - god loves you!"
