Was listening to the CFE pod and things being discussed with the calendar are related to moving things back in multiple ways. Coaches are helping lead the discussion, of course they were the ones that wanted a lot of things the way they are now lol. They just didn't realize the mess they were making.Keep Dec signing for HS recruits.
1 transfer window starting in mid-February.
Let's teams settle their coaching staffs after the CFB/NFL season (except us of course) and evaluate current roster.
Spring Practices start in April.
Transfers are "stuck" at their current school and miss Spring Practice? - eh too bad. It's still "supposed" to be school so finish out the year.
They still have access to facility and academic support.
So there is a penalty to the school who signs and player under contract. That should be a deterrent, at least for bigger contracts.
1 transfer window makes sense and it being after the season, even more sense. But it does screw up schedules if any kid does actually care about their academics. But if they could find a way to make all transfers just 1 time a year, and it has to be a 2 year commitment (unless something like a HC change or significant scandal happens that imposes penalties) and a 2nd transfer sooner than that requires an automatic sit out year...And all this crap goes back to making some sense.Keep Dec signing for HS recruits.
