Sitting back and watching this all unfold, Campbell had Iowa State in a pretty good place with a bright future with some good recruits. He left, arguably, at the worst time for them. The program was about to take a turn for the better; last year of Brecht, an excellent TE, and a defense that was gelling barring any injuries; they could've gone back to the Big 12 championship next year. But instead, it has crumbled to practically nothing. It could take years to get back to where they were at. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just kind of awestruck just how disastrous of a situation this is for them.
