Beau back to Penn State? Beau just hit the transfer portal. Would you guys want him back or no? I’ve also heard a few former Pitt players saying Penn State is interested in Mason Heintschel (not sure how accurate it is). Also Rocco Becht is a option for Penn State.

Everybody happy with Grunk or rather have a transfer QB come in?
My guess is that if Beau is in the portal, he is headed to VT.

It’s kind of pathetic that a kid who has less than no chance of ever playing in the NFL would leave both a Big 1i0 and a SEC team; he should feel fortunate that he got to play football at that level. At this point, when does he start concentrating on getting a degree at a school like a PSU or Mizzou that can open up doors so that he can be a productive member of society after his college football days are over rather than chasing an unrealistic dream?
My guess is he has some type of NIL deal based on playing time/starting? I mean, this part year and next year are likely going to be the two highest earning years of his life. He needs to maximize his $$ and then move on tot he real world and get a real job paying a fraction of NIL bag of money.

I'm sure Beau is deeply concerned about what you are tired of.

I'm tired of armchair fans trashing kids for doing what we all do- acting in their own self interests.

These kids owe us nothing.
If only he'd ever acknowledge he was doing it for his own self interest.

Isn't that implied? Don't people pretty much do everything out of self-interest?
Not when he blames the NCAA and their timeline--especially when it wasn't the timeline. Beau owned nothing about his first decision. Not a thing.
To be fair to him, James used him but Beau took zero ownership of what he did.
Do we have any comments from him about why he's in the portal this time?

Did he kill your dog or something? Why care?

Why do we care about anything?
I expect accountability from everyone. He's a coward and I'll call him out on that like I'd call out anyone else that acted that way. Thankfully his name won't come up much longer and you won't have to listen to the truth about him since it bothers you.

I dont care if he comes back or not. But I would like to know there will be a genuine QB competition next year. And may the best man win.

The team could use a portal QB with some experience. Even if it is just to push Grunk to get better.

I’m slow, but isn’t Rocco Becht coming to PSU?

Used to love Beau until he fvcked us last year at the worst possible time. Not having that package available after he left might have cost us a National Championship. The way I feel about Beau now???? Thanks for nothing. Go make your quick buck elsewhere.

Yeah he can do whatever he wants but this is a message board so anyone can have opinions You have to admit that this looks pretty ridiculous on his part. He's just hopping from school to school. Someone needs to ask him what happened at Missouri. I wonder what his major is? Does he have a degree yet? Did he finish his degree at Penn State? If so, then that is a good thing and the school changes are part of a graduate degree he is working on but he has his undergraduate degree already.

Cry me a ******* river. These guys are 100x worse than pro players. They chase money and leave a school cause their feelings were hurt. Those guys deserve every bit of criticism they get. Piss on the entire bunch of the overpaid entitled crybabies.

I hope this leads to the end of college football. None of this is sustainable. And I can sit here and laugh at the players and fans crying.

Then it cant be rebuilt correctly. With actual agreements and rules.

LOL. What is he going to do? Every interview or social media post begins with..."I want to make it clear that when I left Penn State and now that I am leaving Missouri I am acting out purely in my own self interest. I am not concerned about the school at all and don't care what impact my decisions have on the school or my teammates. I am selfish. Now who is interested in me?"

Oh, I forgot, Lando also wants him to say..."Furthermore, let the record stand that I am a coward."

Could he have been any worse than the guy they so desperately wanted to keep and favored over Pribula who was a far better fit for the scheme. I don't blame him for leaving and I don't blame him for wanting to come back. Just the fact that we are offering him should tell you what MC and the new QBC think of him. I don't go on personal wishes and whims I just follow the coaching and what they obviously think.

Do the even still register for classes. It’s all about playing time and $$$ now. I don’t even understand why there is any pretense anymore. And if you want to go to school, pay for it on top of your pay

I'm not the one crying- this is all a good belly laugh if you ask me- which you didn't. We are getting exactly what we asked for as fans, bigger, more expensive, nothing matters except winning.

Without having read the upthread responses, I say Hell No.

The only appropriate response to someone portaling out is, “Sorry to hear this, thanks for the laughs and leadership, best of luck Slugger, you won’t be back, it’s not personal.”

Only a second tier team would welcome back someone who left for a year and now wants back. It reeks of desperation.

Best of luck to Beau. I’m sorry he left PSU. Next man up.
Like next year’s team captain? Mack

All he had to do is say "I decided to leave Penn State when I did due to Allar returning and I believe it gives me the best opportunity to find an opportunity to play immediately"
Instead he cried about NCAA rules (which he didn't even state accurately) and falsely claimed he wanted to stay. He took zero ownership or accountability. He's a ******* coward. Period
People here say far worse about our own guys. Beau left and never owned why. That's who he is and why neither Penn State nor Mizzou tried to get him to stay.

I am officially transferring for my own self interests.

How long before Lando complains?
Again, I'd applaud him for that. I'm all for guys transferring when they own why. There's only 2 people who transferred ever that I have an issue with and it's because of how the handled it. Beau and Nicco leaving Tennessee for UCLA. Just insincerity and trash. Both of them.

He didn't have to transfer when he did. People need to stop making excuses for him. He had plenty of time to enter the portal after our season ended.
He was concerned most teams would have already gotten their QB and there would be limited opportunities. It’s a legit reason.

That's not what he said--he lied and said the NCAA forced him to do so when he did. He even lied about the date
Had he said what you said I'd have no problem with him but he's pretending he didn't have an option--he did. Period.

Pribula did what he needed to do last year. He doesn’t owe any apology or explanations to butt hurt fanboyz. So what if he missed a couple of scrimmages against tomato cans, SMU and Potato State. Those games didn’t mean or prove anything. At least that’s what I hear. Maybe he would have gotten a few snaps late in those scrimmages against those teams without a pulse. He wouldn’t have played against ND. Now, he’s in the portal again. He’ll miss playing in a scrimmage against Huck-Buck State College. Whoopdeedoodlydoo!

I'm not a fan by any stretch.
Playoff games aren't scrimmages--who said they didn't matter or prove anything?
We absolutely didn't miss him. Him leaving allowed us to keep Grunk who is better.
None of any of this has to do with the fact he lied like the coward he is. I've supported everyone else who has ever transferred. Even Silas Redd was honest and said it was a business decision--it was. Beau had to blame others.

I just don’t feel like Beau offers us much that we don’t already have and will have with Gronk. Based on what limited play we have seen of Gronk, I think it is fair to say Beau is faster and more elusive when he runs, but Gronk was flashing some really good accuracy in the final two games, and we really don’t know his full potential yet. I’d ride with our guy, but I also see the value in bringing in a guy like Rocco. It’s just that we likely lose Grunk in that scenario and I don’t love the supposed 3m it will take to get him. I’d rather we buy up some stud oline players and give Gronk a nice clean pocket each week.

There's also the possibility that there were contingencies that went along with his offer to Mizzou and his compensation package. Considering how was used on the field here, maybe the risk was too great.
