No. I just got home from Hickory. Neither of these teams can do any bragging. Pathetic display of no defense. Shelby better be glad they didn’t run up with Reidsville this year. It would have been ugly! Both defensive coordinators should be fired.

Both these offenses would have done that against a lot of teams... I guess the fact we bowed up and held them scoreless second half and 78 yards means nothing
Congrats Shelby lion. I talk a lot of junk just because of you and ol Lion attack. I really wish our teams were in Same bracket this year. We will never know what could have been. We didn’t get further away and yall didn’t get closer. TIL next year

Out of all the things I have heard about Kinston, and i've been following Kinston football for years, one thing i've NEVER heard is Kinston is not fast enough, I will say this I think Shelby goes into this one the favorite, but they are in for a rude awakening if they are banking on Kinston not being fast enough

Number 2 was a great player. Exciting to watch. I knew our defense would be better at getting stops reason we had a 2nd half shutout. We were more physical in the trenches. We spread it to all our receivers. Lan had all day to throw. When I said 49-14 I was being nice

No that wasn’t the case at all. The differences was Shelby’s offensive line. If Kinston wasn’t fast the wouldn’t have scored 41 in two quarters… offensive line dominated. Farmer had 6-8 secs to throw which is insane
Every single state championship game was won by double digits except the 1A game. What’s yalls takeaways on that
2 was fast. Lan had all day to throw it which I knew they would. Defensive line fast. They tried tho. Told you this was something they haven’t seen before
Two or three guys was fast, versus Shelbys overall team speed. From the film I saw, I didn't think Kinstons defense could keep up with the Shelby receivers and their defensive line wouldn't get any push against the Shelby line to help them out. Heck they was playing 12 yards off the slot receivers and still was getting blew by. #2 was who he was advertised as, all you can say about him.
I guess it meant something to you but I wouldn’t brag about it. It’s an embarrassing stat to have. I looked for somebody yesterday wearing a lion mane. I guess you didn’t go?

Both teams played great defense. Tarboro just made the most with the breaks in the 2nd half better coached but both teams were well coached.

I really like it, just the right size for a high school game. Those big college stadiums are just way too big. This place held 8,500 and there was probably around 6,000 there. Great atmosphere and field looked great. Only complaint is they only had one concession stand open on the home side and there was an extremely long line the whole time. I hope the state moves to play in these type venues in the future. Oh, and another complaint, most every year the west has to drive 3 to 4 hours to a game when the east drives maybe an hour and half. Spread it out over the state so that some years the west doesn't have to drive so far.
