Ru had enough talent that a good coach…one who gets the most of his players and develops them well…should have won 7-9 games…even at out current nil levels…the B1g simply wasn’t that strong outside osu, Oregon…in terms of our schedule. The big three sports at Rutgers… that would be football, men’s basketball and yes, women’s basketball are all led by really bad coaches… I’d love to say that baseball is a big sport, but it isn’t at Rutgers and probably won’t be.

Baseball is the next major sport you can move up to the top of the Big Ten with a decent NIL Budget.
Rutgers Baseball has a very good coach that has put together a competitive team in the Big Ten (a few years ago, the team won 45 games) with virtually no money. Since NIL arrived, Coach Owens recruited some really good freshman that exceeded expectations - only to lose them to better programs with NIL budgets.
Coach Owens knows how to recruit and train young players.
Give him a reasonable NIL Budget and watch Rutgers join the top 25 in the first year.
Baseball stars that reach the major leagues can earn very large long-term contracts. A natural source of future NIL money.
Rutgers Athletics teams should instill the concept of remembering their alma mater when they earn the big bucks and fund their sport.
